MFT Previews Begin - Dienamics

I hope you're loving the Die-namics from MFT. This month, we have a few fun new addition to the lineup!

You'll recognize the Grass, Clouds, Sun, Jumbo Scallops and Banner Day as dies that have been released in the last few months, today I've got samples of the soon to be released "Sheltering Tree" die and the new "Chain Border"

The entire panel is created with the luxurious MFT Felt. I so love it, cuts just like butter, and clearly, you all are loving it too. Its currently on re-order and we're looking forward to having it back in soon. Seriously, stock up!!

I cut my Banner with the Banner Day Dienamic, and then added "welcome" with the coordinating Banner Day alpha, with a piercing tool and a needle and twine, I quickly stitched all the panels together.

Today I'm actually in Chicago working at the MFT Booth at CHA! I just love that our work trip is also our fun girls trip!

I stamped my brains out before I left though so that I could have previews pre-scheduled Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday - don't forget that all of the new stamps sets and accessories will be available this coming Wednesday night!

You'll want to stop by the MFT Member Company Forum to read about this month's Guest Designer Contest, don't forget, it is YOUR chance to win the full September release and join the Design Team in daily previews next month.

And here's a fun new development ---- Are you ready for some TOP-SECRET news? Today, there is a prize hidden on one of the designer's blog posts.

As you make your way through the Teaser Time posts, simply leave a comment on each blog, for your chance to win one of the Brand Spankin' New stamp sets being released on August 4th. A winner will be chosen from the comments on the pre-selected blog before tomorrow's teaser list goes live, and will be posted on Kim's blog HERE. Be sure to check tomorrow to see if YOU are the winner. You can play along each day for your chance to win. We will be giving away NINE new stamp sets this week! As always, you can find the master list of participating designers HERE Kim's blog.

TCP Tuesday

I couldn't leave for CHA without leaving you a little TCP love, especially with all the AMAZING new stamps, dies, twine, glitzy, felt --- eeegads!! Did you shop yet? If not, WHAT are you waiting for, get going! *giggle*

By the way, just in case you didn't notice, you can get great savings with the "Kitty Kat Pack" (all the stamps and dies too) or the "Poochie Pack" (all the new stamps)

This week, Toni is our hostess and she has a fun inspiration challenge for you.

I knew right away which stamp set I wanted to play with this week. Good Friends. Though there won't be any movie watching while we're at CHA there will be many hugs, tons of photos, getting to visit with my Design Team friends, meeting blogging and forum friends in time for the first time, and meeting all my rock-star stamping idols.

Then, of course there's late night drinks and chatting with my roomies! Oh, right, and of course, all the latest stamping goodies that we get to preview... eegads! Can you sense my excitement??

Leaning on the cozy reds and quilting in the inspiration photo, I reached for one of my favorite paper collections, October Afternoon Thrift Shop and got stamping.... Lots of stitching (remember its quilted...) , and lots of layers.

By the way, my total go to favorite ink for the TCP Penguins is Brilliance. It does take a few minutes to dry, but I love the rich coverage. I just stamp out all my piecing elements then get to cutting my designer paper layers. By the time I've got all my elements cut to size, the ink is dry and I'm ready to get assembling.

We SO hope you'll come play along with us, you'll find us chatting over on the new The Cat's Pajamas Splitcoast Member Company Forum - you'll find the weekly challenge in the TCP Tuesday Sub-Forum.

I am sure that packages from the new release are starting to arrive for all of you that ordered with last week's big release. Isn't everything AMAZING? Come show us your stuff with this week's fun inspiration challenge! And, by the way, if you didn't shop last, week, then you'll want to head on over to grab yourself some swankiness! Get goin'

Crazy busy.....

I'm in a mad dash this week to get my house in order, some blog posts scheduled, and my bags packed as I'm headed to CHA later in the week! I'll be rooming with my great pals on the TCP Cat Pack, Carole, Leigh and Amy - working at the MFT Booth, doing Make and Takes at the Splitcoast Booth, and working for Craft Critique too!

I don't think I've mentioned it yet here on the blog, but I'm working part time for Craft Critique doing advertising sales. (Yes, in addition to my current job, and yes, in addition to my DT gigs. And yes, I'm tired, but YES I'm excited!) You can see though why I've been blogging a little bit less.

I'm also prepping a fall MFT Class to be held at TWO local stamp stores here in Massachusetts in early September. Details to follow once I'm home from CHA.

If you don't already read Craft Critique, then what are you waiting for? There is no time like the present to visit the site, add it to your daily feed, or follow Craft Critique with your reader. The editorial team will be walking the show floor to bring you all the latest and greatest, and we have some really great sponsors lined up this week. Can you say Giveaways? Coupons? Yikes! Like I said, get on over to Craft Critique and sign up - you can also follow Craft Critique on Twitter HERE and Facebook HERE.

I'm really, really excited, but think I'll need a vacation when I get back from this whirlwind trip.

Over the weekend, I did something BIG. I finally chopped off that hair! You may remember that I've been growing it for nearly two years to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I'm very happy to announce that I will be mailing off that ponytail this afternoon , and I'm sporting a new, super short haircut... and, I LOVE it!

I'll be posting updates from the Show Floor both on Twitter and on Facebook, so please follow me if you'd like updates. And to those of you that are my FB friends, and don't want the updates... sorry in advance. LMAO!

now, off to do something crafty, so I can SHOW you something tomorrow!

Wishing you a Beautiful Day!

Hello and happy Sunday everyone! I had so much fun working on my sample for this weekend's sketch. I went with a little modification and instead of a large oval, I reached for a fun new element that I'm a *wee bit* obsssed with....

The new Framed Greetings Die-namics and Coordinating Stamp Set from MFT really does make creating a breeze! I had this beautiful Crate Paper piece on my desk, and I hadn't been able to figure out WHAT to do with it, but I'm thrilled I'd saved it.

I reached for a piece of MFT Felt and the new Rolled Flower Die-namics die, and voila a sweet little rosebud accent. I then ran through the Open Scallop Die-namics (are you sensing a pattern here?) with some ivory felt and stitched it directly in place. Finished off with a bit of crochet ribbon and a little bit of a rhinestone flourish.

Be sure to stop by to visit all of the girls on the Sweet Sunday Sketch team and see what they did with this week's fun sketch. You'll also want to add your sample to Karen's inLinkz so that you have a chance at having your card shared on her blog next weekend! Now, get stamping!!

Dare to Get Dirty - come join us!

I'm sure by now you've seen on Blog-land that it is Dare to Get Dirty week over on Splitcoast Stampers. Challenges are posted each day by current or alumnae Dirty Dozen members.

One of today's challenges is hosted by my Dirty Dozen Roomie and sweet friend Bev Rousch. You'll have to stop by over HERE to find all the details on the challenge itself, but I can share with you my sample today.

Dare to Get Dirty week is your chance to play along with the Dirty Dozen, and who knows, maybe even get noticed for a future spot on the team.... In any case, it is a wonderful way to grow your creativity and most of all, have some fun!

If you're not familiar with the Splitcoast Fan Club - then you'll want to give it another look. Not only do you get access to the Dirty Dozen Gallery each month - which is always loaded with some jaw dropping beauties - but you also get instant upload priviliges in the gallery, which is a *huge* benefit for me. And, of course, you're supporting the greatest stamping community there is!!

So, onto the sample details......Let me just say that I had to go on a hunt to find my Christmas papers, but I was so glad to find this pretty red snowflake one. I added a bit of green with my new MFT Open Scallop Dienamic, and a bit of texture using MFT's Felt, and the new Die-namic Framed Greetings Die - I cut it in half and matted it on either side of the oval nestie for a little accent. Finished off with a wood button from the Earth Girl collection. This little Pure Innocence: Presents for You cutie is one of my all time faves.

No go ahead, and get yourself little Dirty!

MFT VIP Hop: A Basket Full of Blessings

Welcome to the July VIP Hop - it is that fun time when we get to share with you the next Who's That Girl stamp set, which will be available for only one day - along with a SWEET bundle of goodies. After that, it will not be available until early August for our release.

This month, my good friend WTG is Who's that Harvest Girl - and there are a variety of products you can quickly and easily stamp into her basket. Now, everyone has a favorite, and me, its tomatoes. I can not *wait* till tomato picking day at the farm. I'll have to load up on basil and fresh mozzarella while I try to consume my body weight in farm fresh tomatoes for at least a week.

I added in a button from the Earth Girl collection - just love those wooden ones, as well as a bit of the Crochet Ribbon (sorry currently out of stock) I also used the new Die-namics Framed Greetings Die along with the coordinating stamp for a little border element. I just love little multi-purpose elements like that!

Here's the full list of all the goodness available in this month's VIP Kit, priced at $35

Who’s That Harvest Girl? VIP
Who’s That Harvest Girl?
Girly Net Ribbon Collection (2 yards each of netted ribbon in Lipstick Red, Cool Green, White Tulle, Sassy Black, Girly Pink)
5 yards 5/8” Black Saddle Stitch Ribbon
Olivia Basic Grey 6 X 6 patterned paper pad

Ship Happens

Sneaky Peek Week

Sorry for the delay in my preview post today... you see I've had this card ready for preview day for days... but you know what... I had pre-written the post and voila its mysteriously missing from blogger. Huh?

Well I guess my sentiment on today's card is just really correct. Ship Happens (aaack that cracks me up)

Those mysterious penguins of Alma's are always up to something. Don't tell the other stamps, but really, those penguins really are my total favorite... promise you won't tell the others right?

I've coated their tea-cup with a bit of my favorite accessory - Glitzy. Yes, new glitzy coming peeps. Get ready, because I love that stuff!

This is a recent sketch from the Mojo Monday blog - always such great inspiration.

Please be sure to check out samples today using Ship Happens from both Carole and Sony!

Are you getting excited for this release? What's your favorite so far? Ah, so many to choose from!

Have a cuppa....

Sneaky Peek Week

Did you know that you can find Jen's Sketch for You To Try posted on Facebook on Friday nights... so, if you happen to be in a mood to stamp, you can find the sketch a day earlier than she posts it on her blog? All you've got to do is become a fan of "Sketch for You To Try" on Facebook!

I am having such fun playing along with all the soon to be released goodies from The Cat's Pajamas. Let me say you won't want to miss Monday Night's Release party on Splitcoast. All I can say is that there will be prizes!

I paper pieced PJ's apron with both Ivory and Gingham paper for some contrast trim on the apron. I {heart} paper piecing! Do you see the tiny "soup" on the cup? that Alma, she's so clever!

Remember all the latest goodies that the team has been sharing will be available beginning Monday night! Be sure to check Alma's blog each day to see who's workin' the daily previews, and leave a comment on the posts for a chance to win ALL THE SETS!

Have a great day! New TCP Peek tomorrow!

a la modes Shop Hop

I hope you've enjoyed our fun little surprise with the release of the a la modes. Aren't they adorable? I seriously can not wait to see what they do next.

If you've just hopped over from Jessie's place, then you're in the right place, but if you just happened across our hop, be sure to start up at the MFT Blog so that you don't miss any of the samples from the team!

These foam cling rubber stamps are a dream to work with, and I love the crisp images!

You'll see I'm back to one of my new favorite papers, this fun camera print. Would you believe I bought it weeks ago with this stamp in mind, but couldn't wait to dig into it!

Both of the new a la modes, both Picture Perfect, and Birthday Girl are now available in the MFT Shop.

I've also added the MFT Die-namics Jumbo Ric Rac and the MFT Felt to my project as well. Seems I just can't make a card without those elements anymore *giggle*

Now, be sure to stop by Julie's blog to see what she's put together to celebrate the release of the a la Modes! Have a great time hopping along and happy shopping!

the a la modes: Birthday Girl

I hope that you just LOVED the a la modes yesterday from MFT, and well, today we have another one to share with you, this one, is the Birthday Girl!

You can probably imagine that my Jumbo Scallop Die-namics never seem to leave my desktop, I simply adore them. You'll see that I've also put the new Die-namic Rolled Flower to work, with a little Glittered Garnish in the center. I hope you'll humor me as I continue to play with this Creme Cotton ribbon, it truly is my very favorite accent lately - I mean it goes with absolutely everything!

I've paper pieced the dress as well as the cupcake liner so that everything would coordinate perfectly.

Don't forget that the a la modes are available only in rubber, and let me say, I've had SUCH fun working with them. Wonderful impression, gorgeous coverage!

Be sure to stop by Kim's blog after 11 am today, to see a list of all the designers participating in today's previews. AND, here's an extra treat - tonight at 10pm we'll have a little a la modes Shop Hop ready for you as the two new stamp sets are added to the MFT Store.

TCP Sneak Peek Week Continues --- Ahoy there!

Sneaky Peek Week

Today is a double feature! Not only are there new The Cat's Pajamas stamps to share.... but it is also TCP Tuesday! This week, Amy is challenging us to use Divine Twine in our projects.

Which, is a seriously fun challenge, trust me this stuff is FABULOUS!

Now, so many of the girls on the team really rocked out that Divine Twine with some really ingenious applications... those girls, so clever!

(Me, I threaded mine through an embroidery needle, and stitched away) You might vaguely recognize the layout for Jen's Sketch for You To Try this week. I did obmit a little panel and instead added a sentiment tab....

This adorable whale is part of the Mew Paper Arts line over at The Cat's Pajamas - being a Nantucket Preppy type girl, he's just my style....

Remember to leave a prize on the girls that have the daily previews for a chance to win the grand prize....All the new Sets!! You can find all the details on both the previews as well as this week's TCP Tuesday challenge over on Alma's Blog: Dancing in Pajamas!

Introducing the a la Modes in Picture Perfect

Are you ready for a little surprise? To keep the MFT birthday celebration going, Kim has a surprise release this week. Seriously, how FUN is that?

Introducing the a la modes! This is a fun new line of stamps that I've been just SO excited to work with. Here are a few important pieces of information about this new line:

a la modes will be available only in rubber

Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.

Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!

Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety after purchase.

$10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.

Here's a little peek at the set in action - this sentiment cracks me up "Oh Snap" I've added a bit of the Open Scallop Die-namics cut out of the MFT Felt. Have you tried it, it cuts like a dream!! Patterned papers are all an assortment from my scrap pile a little bit of everything.

Be sure to stop by Kim's blog today after 11am for a full list of designers participating in previews today! I know you'll just LOVE the a la modes! Be sure to hop on back tomorrow to see another one!

TCP Tuesday - Sneak Peek Week

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week!

Let me just start by saying that Alma really has SO many new goodies in store for you over the next week, we here on The Cat Pack have been spoiled rotten getting to play with these new goodies to create samples for you!

Today, we're sharing samples made with a new set featuring my sweet friend PJ the Bear titled "A Cuppa" - I just LOVE stamping this fun little apron and paper piecing it. How cute is that little bit?

What does PJ have for you when you're not feeling well? A cuppa tea? A cuppa soup? You decide....

I've added another fun element coming soon to The Cat's Pajamas - wood veneer paper. Eegads, its fabulous! (do you hear me singing?) I promise you'll love it. I thought it added some homey charm to my little card today.

This is *mostly* Mercy's sketch from last week, though I just couldn't seem to work an embellishment on the top right hand corner.

Patterned paper is from October Afternoon and you'll be seeing a *lot* of it in the previews this week. Fun stuff.

Now, be sure to check Alma's blog each day to see just who on The Cat Pack will be bringing you a sneak peek every day. Be sure to leave a comment on the previews, because one of us is a blog candy holder! You can also join us over on our new Splitcoast Stampers Member Company Forum come join us on the Sneak Peek thread HERE.

Sweet Sunday On My Couch

Today I pulled out a trusty favorite for my Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge card. Karen found this fun layout from the new Stampin Up Idea Book. What a fun sized card, measuring 3 1/4 x 6 1/2 - but of course, with my embellishing, it wouldn't fit inside the envelope. Ugh. That is SO typically me.

The chair has been stamped to a little scrap of Thrift Shop by October Afternoon, and then trimmed out and sponged with my Tea Dye ink. I also stamped the image again to a piece of vanilla cardstock, colored the legs of the chair, and a little bit of shadow for the floor.

Trim was cut out using my MFT Die-namics Jumbo Scallops and a quick bow with MFT's Creme Cotton Twill (I'd link it, but it appears to be out of stock, trust me and grab some as soon as its back, you'll love it!)

Be sure to check out Karen's sample - which I just know will be gorgeous - and please give this fun sketch a whirl. Its a great one!

You'll see samples today from my girlies on the Sweet Sunday Team:

MFT's Shop Hop - Are We There Yet Gift Set

Hi everyone and welcome to this month's MFT Shop Hop! I hope that you've popped on over from Jessie's blog, if not, please take a moment to start up at Kim's Blog so that you don't miss any of the projects that the team has put together for you today!

I'm working with the new Pure Innocence set titled "Are We There Yet" and I put together a little giftie for Kim's daughter Emma. Emma will be joining us at CHA this summer, and what little girl wouldn't like a little set of goodies to keep her occupied on her journey?

I created the luggage tag/bookmark first - she is of course fully paper pieced. I propped her sunglasses on top of her head. Mine are usually a headband instead of eye protection anyways.

You'll spy the new Die-namics Framed Greetings Die which I've foled in half for a tab. I love multi-purpose elements like that. SWEET!

You'll see that I added a bit of Jumbo Scallop Die-namic too. I sewed all the layers in place for extra durability.

I tied it to a little cello bag with MFT's Creme Cotton Ribbon and filled the bag with the essentials for a six year old, a new pack of crayons, a lip gloss, a package of silly bands and a pack of gum.

The flip side of the tag/bookmark has a space to fill in her address, and I stamped her name with the new Banner Day Alphabet. The little sentiment "Jet Setter" cracks me up.

And of course, she'll need a journal to document her travels, take notes, or just color. I used the new Banner Day Alpha and Banner Day Die-namics die to customize the front of a Composition notebook - everything is anchored in place with Zip Dry - my fave glue for alterables!

I hope that Emma loves her little gift set, and also, that it eliminates Kim and Martin having to hear "are we there yet?" at least a few times!

Thank you SO much for stopping by tonight, your next stop on tonight's Shop Hop is the amazingly talented Sherrie! Happy Hopping & Shopping!

Just a little challenge winner

Hi everyone! Sorry I was so hopelessly delayed in posting the challenge winner for my Clear Blue Skies challenge. Between jet lag, and playing with my kids, then the holiday and prepping for tonight's MFT release.... it has been a whirlwind.

now, I know I promised to post my top three, but with since only a few people played along, how could I pick three favorites, that would leave a lot of people feeling like an un-favorite! Yikes. And I couldn't bear to do that.

I did however, promise a prize. right? And that was awarded with the help of random.org, which picked lucky #4 and I got a good chuckle that it was Chris's card. She seems to be pretty lucky around here, and I think maybe it is because she is always playing along!

So congrats to Chris, who wins $10 to shop tonight at MFT's release!

Please be sure to check out everyone's entries, I just love the variety of ways that the photo was translated to a project. And, by the way, it was Santorini Greece, and oh my goodness, the trip of a lifetime!

Who's That Gardening Girl

I hope that you've just LOVED this week of MFT Previews! Today I have my favorite sample to share with you! This uses both the new Who's That Gardening Girl, as well as a new Clearly Sentimental about Gardening (This month's Triple Scoop promotional set!)

Her shirt has been pieced with Basic Grey patterned paper, and I used the Die-namics Jumbo scallop for a fun trimmed detail.

Of course, I can't make a card lately without the Creme Cotton Twill Ribbon that MFT carries! Love that stuff!

The sentiment was stamped to an oval Nestie, and then I adhered it to my finished focal panel.

I've been loving our assortment of CSA veggies from our local family farm, but I am really really looking forward to the arrival of tomatoes later this month. YUM!

Be sure to stop by Kim's blog today after 11am for a full list of designers participating in previews today. And, don't forget, tonight is both the new release cocktail party at The MFT Forum on Splitcoast Stampers, and we'll have our Shop Hop tonight kicking off at the MFT Blog at 1opm as the store opens to the general public.

MFT Teaser Time: Framed Greetings

Happy Tuesday! Today, two different stamp sets are previewing - there is a Jolinne set that I'm sure you'll be seeing from some of my team mates, but as I'm still in ramping up from vacation mode, I've got a preview of only one of the sets. (I know, shame on me....)

Today's set is titled "Framed Greetings" and it is a bundled set - including this wonderful new Die-namics die. There are three different sentiments as well as an assortment of borders. I must say that I'm especially partial to this faux stitched one.

To line my die and stamp up perfectly, was a piece of cake, since it is a clear set. I first die-cut using my Die-namics, then I placed the photopolymer stamp directly over the diecut just with my fingers. Then I "picked it up" with the acrylic block, this means I know it is perfectly in place. Added a bit of ink and pop, done! Lastly, I tucked the sentiment of my choice right in the center. Voila - easy, peasy and perfectly placed.

I added a bit of the MFT Creme Cotton Twill ribbon, and pleated it in place with a few glue dots. The I tucked a bit of the MFT Crochet Ribbon Collection in place just below that. A few tiny Prima flowers tucked into place and voila. A delicate, lovely and *quick* thank you note.

Don't forget that the deadline for the MFT Guest Designer contest is tonight! You won't want to miss your chance to win the full August release and play along with the Design Team next month. Be sure to hop on over HERE on the Splitcoast Stampers Member Company forum for all the details.

I'll have one more preview for you tomorrow morning, and then you won't want to miss the New Release cocktail party with giveaways and sneak peeks, and of course our 10pm EST Shop Hop! Be sure to join us on the forum for all the details.
