Welcome Little Prince

I will say, baby cards are for sure, my very favorite type of card to make.  My cousin and her husband just had a tiny baby boy and I wanted to send along a sweet little card to welcome him to our family.

This week's CR84FN color challenge was perfectly suited for the job, and I adore the sweet Baby Onesie Stamp Set and Die-namics.  I dug through my well supplied scrap bin and cut into a fresh delivery of Whip Cream and Kraft cardstock I started playing around.

For a baby boy card you can still use elements like lacy trims, and pretty bows, you don't have to stick by the traditional "masculine rules." So I aded a fluffy bow using our Whip Cream Ribbon and a bit of detail using the Dainty Lace Border.

If you have a hard time with bow-tying, you can find a quick how-to video HERE or simply click play below.  Our MFT Ribbon ties such pretty bows, I truly love working with it.

By the way, here's a close up of the new MFT Buttons.  I'm using the Natural ones here, they're going to be a perfect staple item for me.

I went ahead and finished off the inside of the card, after all, I already had a TON of paper leftover (and by that I mean all over my desk top.) It's just as easy to finish off the inside as it is to clean up the mess.   I stamped one of the sentiments to a nesting set of Oval STAX.  I left myself just a little bit of room for a handwritten note inside.  (I hate my handwriting, so I prefer to leave a small amount of space so I don't mess up my pretty card.)

Be sure to visit the CR84FN blog for all the details and add your sample!  It's such a pretty color challenge, I'm sure you'll have a blast creating with it!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm off to my baby brother's wedding this weekend. Time flies!

Pretty card! Love the colors. Great bow, as usual. Thanks for the video. I don't "do" bows much on my cards but I like the look. I'm glad to know that others (i.e. you!) fuss w/them a lot, too. :)
