Cheers!

I must say, I seriously couldn't be more excited about the My Favorite Things stamp and Die-namics combo that we have to share with you! This is a fun one, you know I'm a sucker for those stamp and Die-namics combo sets.....

Today we're previewing the Let's Toast Stamp Set and Die-namics.  The Die-namics set includes a seven piece Die-namics - the largest of which cuts this beautiful bottle tag.  What a quick and easy way to create a hostess gift. Right? I quickly put together this matching gift set by mixing and matching the papers across the tag and stamp set, and used the same general layout. Adding in all my new STAX Die-namics also was essential to putting together a matched set with ease! I've used both of the STAX 1 and STAX 2 Circle Die-namics to get these very close layers.  The stamp set is huge so you'll have lots of creative options.

Patterned papers are from the Echo Park: This and That 6x6 collection.
You can see on the close up photo that I've rolled the bottom edges of the
Fishtail Die-namics STAX for added detail.

My flower embellishment was created with the Fringed Perennial Die-namics
paired with the new Royal Leaves Die-namics

(really you owe it to your collection of Flower Die-namics
to add these babies to your shopping cart.)

Lots and lots of new goodies coming to MFT on Tuesday night! eeks!
My desk is trashed, so you know I'm having lots of fun.

Trash your desk and play along in the MFT Guest Designer Contest.
You can find all the details on this post.

Be sure to visit the MFT Blog for a full list of
designers with previews today.

Triple Scoop Teaser Time!

Today's the day that we talk about the Triple Scoop at My Favorite Things. The Triple Scoop is a free stamp set for customers purchasing over $60 of product (excluding tax and shipping)

Last month's Triple Scoop Stamp Set: Big Greetings will soon be available as an individual purchase item.  If you didn't already earn it for free, you'll most certainly want to add it to your shopping list. I love the oversized sentiments included! I used it for a scrapbook page last month, but reached for it immediately for this week's Mojo Monday sketch....  It was just perfect for using up some bits and pieces of a favorite patterned paper Fancy Pants: It's The Little Things

I diced up the "thank you" sentiment so that I could squeeze it into this small square element.
Don't worry though, if you need to keep it aligned straight, you can just as easily line it back up on the block with no worries! I added the teeny heart from the Notched Tag Die-namics

But, then I was having so much fun stamping that I reached for this month's Triple Scoop Stamp Set: Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries.   This luscious paper is from Glitz Design: Pretty In Pink which I've paired with a dark grey card stock.  I added the sentiment to the top half of an Oval STAX Die-namics and then layered that upon the Oval Open Scallop Doily Die-namics.

If you haven't done so already, you'll want to pick up some of this Kraft Ribbon.  I do really adore the color of it, its beautiful! I added the Rolled Flower Die-namics and the Rolled Scallop Flower Die-namics both cut from MFT Felt.  My card base is made from Whip Cream Cardstock.  You'll see a bit of the Large Simply Scallops Die-namics along the bottom edge of the card in that pretty pink pinstripe.

This 4x6 sized stamp set is free with the purchase of $60 (excluding tax and shipping) during the month of April. All you have to do is remember to add it to your shopping cart with your qualifying order.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog today for a full list of designers with sample to share with you.  Remember that all the new stamps and Die-namics dies will be available beginning Tuesday at 10pm EST.  I hope you'll join us for the New Release Party from 8-10pm EST on the MFT Forum on Splitcoaststampers.

Oh Snap!

It's time for the MFT Teasers, but I was pretty excited for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge.
I have been thinking about the รก la modes: Picture Perfect stamp set and I thought it would work perfectly for this week's layout.

Patterned paper is from the Fabulous 6x6 paper pack from Simple Stories.  It's a new favorite.  And I used the new Pinking Edge Die-namics, part of the upcoming April release from My Favorite Things

Here's the sketch for this week, be sure to add YOUR sample to the Gallery at Splitcoaststampers for your chance at the weekly prize! And, by checking the MFT Blog you'll find a full list of designers with a sample for you today!

Let's Grab Drinks

Oh hooray! I can't really believe it, but it is already time for the next round of previews for the upcoming release from My Favorite Things.  Today we're jumping in with a new and really FUN Who's That Girl titled Let's Grab Drinks.

I used this wood panel paper for the background, this reminds me of the wood paneled walls from a recent pub visit with my college pals.  And, in honor of my friend Kim, today's WTG is featuring an Apple-tini her very favorite. Oops, I guess it's been "five o'clock" a lot lately?

This image is easy as pie to paper piece, I am using one of the new My Mind's Eye 6x6 sized pads, which are just a fabulous scale for card making.  My layout is a slightly modified version of Karen G's recent Sweet Sunday Sketch.

You will love the huge variety of sentiments included in this stamp set.
Check it out....

I love using large flag shapes like this in my card making, but I can never seem to cut these perfectly no matter how I measure it out.  I'm really, really excited to be able to add wide banners to my projects with ease now thanks to this fun new Die-namics.  Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics is a six piece stacking Die-namics. Whether I need skinny banner elements, or wide banners like the one above, I've now got exactly what I need for perfectly cut ends. YEAH!

Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a full list of designers with samples for you today!
Mark your calendars because teasers will continue until the new release on
Tuesday, April 6th at 10pm EST.....

Sweet Sunday - Sweet Caroline!

I have been loving all the samples popping up for my friend Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and I've had it printed out and ready, but just hadn't been able to find a spare minute to play.

Spring has hit New England, actually it feels more like summer.  It was in the eighties on Thursday, which is beautiful for sure, but also completely crazy!  My daffodils have busted out and it looks like my husband is going to need to get the lawnmower out soon.  Then again, it is New England, so who knows, maybe we could get a freak snowstorm still. Who knows?

With all the birdies singing out in my yard, I was inspired to play with the Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics. I paired it with the Sweet Caroline patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and the Cloud Trio Die-namics which I've cut from Puff Cloud White Felt. All my matting is with MFT's Hot Fudge Cardstock and my card base is Whip Cream.  The little flag accent sticking out was created with the Mix and Match Banners Die-namics.

Be sure to check out Karen's Blog to follow along in her Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
They're always a GREAT starting point when its time to get crafty!

Away we go!

The great thing about my job, is that I get to meet and work with a lot of incredibly sweet and talented people.  And, this weekend I'm teaching at a tradeshow where I'll get to catch up with several of them!

I'm really excited to catch up with my good friend Alma (otherwise known as "Miss Meowy" from The Cat's Pajamas) this weekend.  Its been *ridiculously* long since we've had a chance to see each other.  ....Happy Dance.....

And so, to celebrate, I had to ink up this adorable bunny from Away We Go.  This giant balloon is paper pieced with some of my My Mind's Eye: On the Bright Side patterned paper.  I love this denim one that I used for the background panel. I'm cursing myself for not having picked up the Cloud Border, but luckily I had a cloud Die-namics that I tucked in its place.

If you haven't stopped by The Cat's Pajamas, well, I highly recommend you swing on by.  Adorable stamps, fabulous dies and they've got some truly spectacular designers.  Be sure to follow their blog too, Dancing in Pajamas for their weekly TCP Tuesday challenge where you have the chance to play along and Get Swanky!

This and That: Happy Birthday

I hope you've been having a blast playing along in the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  I'll admit I skipped one so far, but I'm back on track!  I did modify this week's sketch a teeny bit by moving from a square to a standard A2 card, but you can see that I *mostly* followed along this week.

Today I'm using the Echo Park 6&6 Pad This and That.  Pretty florals, reds pinks and greens, what's not to love? And here's my new most favorite ribbon My Favorite Things Kraft  and i'm using Whipped Cream Cardstock for my card base and my beloved Kraft Cardstock for matting....

I'm using this month's Triple Scoop: Big Greetings, it is free with the purchase of $60 or more in a single order (excluding tax and shipping.) I've used the Polka Dot Greetings Die-namics and I've paired it with the oval from the Die-namics Layered Label. I added a teeny bit of the Simply Scallops Die-namics and pulled each of the scallops forward for added dimension.

Here's the sketch we're working with for this week.  Be sure to add YOUR sample to the Gallery at Splitcoaststampers by Tuesday the 27th at noon EST for your chance at the weekly prize!

It's Time to be an MFT VIP!

Okay friends, it is time again for the MFT VIP Kit.  This is a limited quantity product, and once they're gone, they're gone!  I advise always moving quickly where the VIP Kits are concerned because they've been known to sell out within hours!

This one is loaded with cuteness! Two new Pure Innocence Characters, a new Die-namics and an exclusive, otherwise totally unavailable companion sentiment set.  Are you ready for a little peek?

I'm using the Deconstructed Sketch of the week for my layout and new patterned papers from Simple Stories: Be You.  I paper pieced a bright red inside to her magician's cape, and a pretty yellow dress.  I popped up the bottom of her skirt for extra dimension.

I used the included Die-namics set to create this fun (and oh so trendy) Chevron detail. With a single pass of the Die-namics through your cutting machine, you'll get loads of chevron pieces, add as many as you'd like to create your own pattern. Oh my goodness, I know I'm going to have loads of fun with this one!

I finished off the inside of the card with the sentiment "You're Pure Magic"  I love doing that with the coordinating bits of paper I've used on the outside of the card.

Here's a close look at all the elements included in this month's VIP Collection

Please be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see who else has samples for you tonight and have fun!

Spring is coming....

Some days I do love to color with markers... but some days I like to sift through my  Die-namics and pretty patterned papers.  I didn't get a chance to play with the Die-namics Inspired by Butterflies during the last release.  It's such a pretty set, either on its own, or combined with the original Inspired by Butterflies Stamp Set (sold separately f.y.i.) I've used one of the four sentiments on the inside of the card....

With Daylight savings in effect, the sun is up nice and late and the kids are playing out in the backyard right up until the minute dinner is ready. I can literally not wait till we can put the patio furniture back on the deck. I need to pack up all my wintry papers and delve fully into spring.  I'm ready.

This pretty patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye: Follow Your Heart Be Amazing.  I diced it up a bit because I loved this scrabble looking piece with the "U"unique.  I cut out one of the three Die-namics Inspired by Butterflies and inked all the edges with Distress Ink. Three little buttons adorn the body of the butterfly.  The butterfly is popped up with the help of a Jody Booster and I've used a crystal flourish for butterfly trails.

If you missed the reveal of the new Oval STAX Die-namics, they're outstanding.  I can cut and emboss with one pass, and it leaves a great marking line for my oval stitching too. (bonus!)

They are built to coordinate with Oval Open Scallop Doily
which you can see peeking out behind my oval....

Happy scrappy little day. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Change is Good!

I've had one of those weeks, where its been just nutty around here. But I couldn't possibly pass up the chance to play around at my stampy table to prep for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. And with the bizarre weather here in New England, I was feeling the need for a springy project.

Okay, so I didn't 100% follow the sketch, as I placed my File Tab Die-namics sentiment behind the main panel instead of over the top of it.  But, eesh, I'm pretty close.  I inked up the sweet Pure Innocence: Butterfly Kisses.  I added a bit of detail with the Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass.

This adorable patterned paper is Simple Stories: Fabulous.  note: I apparently liked this paper so much that I accidentally bought two 6x6 pads, so you'll be seeing a good bit of this cute paper.

Here's the sketch for you to follow along with this week. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see who else has a sample for you today!  Remember to add in your version of the sketch to the Splitcoaststampers Gallery by Tuesday the 21st at noon EST for your chance at the weekly prize drawing....

I'm not sure if you've seen, but MFT has brought back card stock and added new ribbon too!  I will admit to being pretty finicky about ribbon, but this stuff is great! Look what a full bow it makes! {{{love}}} I'm using the kraft here.  Its a solid neutral and I'm going to be picking up a ton more now that I've got a new  ribbon crush.

Spring is coming... I can feel it, and I'm getting pretty excited about it! Hooray!

MFT and Paper Heart Printer's Tray

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I escaped for a few days with my college friends and it was wonderful. I *highly* recommend a little escape now and again.  We laughed till we cried, shopped all day long and enjoyed catching up.

I wasn't thinking I'd make a printer's tray again so soon, but I had been asked to create something for the upcoming fundraiser at our elementary school, and I just so *happened* to have an extra printer's tray laying around.  I pulled this together last week with some of my very favorite stamps and Die-namics and also the Crate Paper: Paper Heart paper that I truly adore!  I was trying to be careful not to duplicate the items used in my last printer's tray.

I thought that this would be a sweet piece for one of the elementary school girls or even a pretty adornment or a bookshelf.  Obviously the photo matting is blank on that second square because I don't know which family will be taking this home!

I'll share the elements square by square so you can get a good look at all the contents.  Though these trays are a ton of work, I really, really enjoy putting them together, its like a big puzzle to figure out how to combine the patterned papers, what stamps will work and how many elements you can tuck inside.  Luckily I'm not able to attend the fundraiser, so I don't have to feel too badly if nobody bids on it! *giggle*

Okay here's a quick peek at each of the individual pieces of the tray.....
