Stamp to Win in the MFT Stamp Club

Hello friends! I hope you're ready for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch from My Favorite Things.  It's been too long since I've had a chance to play, but this sketch was just right.  I had picked up this pretty Authentique paper but hadn't yet put it to use.  (It is a perfect match for MFT's Jellybean Green and Wild Cherry Cardstocks by the way.)

I stamped the adorable new à la mode: Sparkling Season to watercolor paper, and added clear embossing powder. With a quick zap of my heat gun, I was ready to go! I got to painting with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers while taking in an episode of Castle.

This layout is pretty clean and easy, it was just a matter of making sure I didn't put too many busy papers together.  Small colorful pattern, red grid paper, green pattern and then the musical notes seemed soft enough, and balanced with enough ivory that it didn't scream too much.

I'd had every intention of sewing this baby together, but I was engrossed in watching the situation with Beckett and Castle this week.  And by the time I'd noticed I hadn't stitched, I'd already adhered the main panel to the card base.

Now, in retrospect, I'm noticing that I've also left off the sentiment tab.  Whoopsie.  But you'll all forgive me, right? I do hope you'll put your stamps and dies to work this week and join us for this versatile and easy to complete card layout.  We'll be looking for your entry on the Gallery at Splitcoast.   Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for a full list of designers with samples to share today.  Here's your layout to follow along with.

You'll find links to the products I've used today listed just below, thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

This image is too cute, and I love your coloring. Never tried coloring with distress inks, but will have to after seeing this beauty.
