MFT's Design Team Creative Chat

MFT has come up with a new monthly feature and we think it's something you'll really enjoy. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a new monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:
  • How do you store and organize your Die-namics?
  • Any fun or helpful Die-namics purchasing strategies you'd like to share?
  • How do you store extra Die-namics die-cuts?
I have a Clip it Up that I (quickly) outgrew for my stamp storage, but it is just perfect for my Die-namics storage.  I love that it keeps all my Die-namics at my fingertips, and even more than that, I love that they're organized!  They are in the clear bags that MFT uses for packaging so that I can see each of the shapes as I spin....

I have them sorted by "type" so that all of my scallops are together.  When adding a scallop to my project, I can pull them all out and see which one is the right scale for my project.

Along the same lines, I have all my Rolled Flowers in one sleeve, and all of my labels in another sleeve.  You'll see just behind I have all the Doily Borders together in one sleeve, and the Flowers and Stars and Waves are all in a separate sleeve behind that.

As for "extra" Die-cuts, if I have one that has been cut but not used in a project for any reason, it goes back into the clear sleeve and I can incorporate it into a project the next time.

My storage isn't too fancy, I "should'" have cute labels written up for each of the sections, but I haven't gotten that far.  I'm just glad that they're cleaned up, not littering the top of my desk, and categorized for easy access.  I find that my little system makes it really easy to mix and match my dies!

Great system Joanne! Love that you can see all the dies in the baggies and that you can store any extras with the dies. I may actually use some of my extras that way! LOL
