New MFT Stamps - Now Available!

It's FINALLY time to share the newest releases here at My Favorite Things with all of YOU!  The new products are now available in the MFT Boutique right HERE.

My first four projects tonight are with the Jersey Die-namics and Stamp Set.  Being a mom of boys, this set is JUST right for me.  Of course, you *could* use this for sporty girly cards too.

Cards for boys on the go are what I need more often than anything, and for whatever reason I just never stock up.  I usually need a card within the hour for whatever party we're dashing out to.  I love that you can personalize this for any birthday - this one is for a special seven year old.

I made it a little festive with the tiniest of Jumbo Banner Day STAX

This next card uses the "Property of Team Awesome" sentiment.  I added paper pieced detail by cutting the die twice and cutting off the trims to use on the sleeves, collar and waistline.

Of course, you see I tucked in a Fishtail Flags STAX from corrugated cardboard too.  I can't help myself, I'm obsessed with those dies.

I can hardly believe it, but my oldest turns TEN on Thursday.  Sigh.  So grown up already.... I paired the numbers along with the "Property of Team Awesome" and a little masking action to put together the next jersey.  "Awesome 10"  I must say, he's pretty pumped about turning double digits.

I added lots of distress inking on the jersey and bent up the edges.  He loves those super soft vintage t's.  They have a dress code which prohibits graphic t's at school, so that's pretty much ALL my kids wear all summer.

I layered the jersey on top of Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX and added the sentiment "Happy Birthday" using the Just my Type stamp set.

We're pretty obsessed with the Olympics here at home, most especially my oldest son who was crushed when I mentioned it would be wrapping up on Sunday.  I was inspired to make a Team USA card since I've been on a real red, white and blue patterned paper kick.

I stamped "USA" to one of the Fishtail Flags STAX and added one of the new Wild Cherry MFT Buttons.  A little row of the Die-namics Star Border.  I love mixing my beloved older dies in with the new ones.

But because I really love stamp and Die-namics combo sets, I took a little time to play with the Bookmark Duo Die-namics too. My boys love to read, and we've got a wonderful library here in our town.  That being said, I like to make sure the boys have bookmarks so they aren't dog-earing the pages from the library!   I often find them using cards I've made for them as their bookmarks (sweet right?)

I paired both of the sizes of bookmark dies so it can slide over the top of the page and securely mark the spot.  I also like cutting each of the layers twice for durability.  The sentiments nicely fit within the Circle STAX and I used the new Award Seal Die-namics

Do you see how when you combine the wider and the skinny bookmark you can use it to slide over the top of the page?

See, it's nice and secure  in place, to mark the spot, with no "dog ears."

I reversed the order of my second bookmark, to show you that some of the sentiments fit nicely on the "skinny" bookmark, and I put my pretty papers on the larger bookmark.

This photo makes it look like it is adhered in place crooked, but it's straight! I promise. The top layer is "flopped open" and not laying flat - after all, it's just itching to get into a book.

Alas, as I was taking a look at my desktop, which is a total mess from this release might I add. I had enough scraps to pull together a coordinating card.  And, honestly, this stamp set is fantastic for book themed gift cards.  So why not go for the gold medal of messy desks and create ONE more project for you tonight.

This is my favorite sentiment in the set...  and I couldn't help but give my Layered Rose one more workout before the release is through.  You can get so many looks from this fun flower, I used it on some red text printed paper today and secured the center with a little brad.

The sentiment was paired with last month's Designer Labels 3 STAX and a bit of the Double Dot Border Die-namics.  Lots of messy stitching, and edge distressing.  My gel nails are tough and can take a beating!

There are SO many fun new items in this month's MFT Release.  I hope you'll pop on over to the Boutique and pick up a few new treats for yourself.  And be sure to visit with MFT Blog for a full list of designers with samples to share with you.  You'll want to leave a comment on each of the participating designers for your chance at the $50 gift voucher being given away to one lucky commenter.  You'll have till Thursday to leave your comments, the prizes will be given on Friday.
