Quiet Embrace

You know me, I'm a sucker for monochromatic, and a huge fan of River Rock. So, when I saw this polka dotted paper from the Ginger Blossom Designer Paper from Stampin Up I knew I had to add it to my collection.

This is a quick card, but I think that the little blossom here was looking for a nice quiet, subtle treatment. I'm finding that I'm using my scalloped nestabilitie squares are just perfect for so many of the images I already own.

Last night I was on mass production mode again, lots of umbrella cards, lots of these... but truth be told, the real thing that got in the way of my stamping, is that my husband and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas! Hooray!!!

I've been once on business, but saw mostly the inside of a convention center, my husband has been on a bachelor party and for business as well. I'd love any advice you all have as to fun things to do while we're there, places to eat etc.

Love the card and layout. We're going to LV hopefully in November. Would love to hear if you get any good suggestions. I've never been before. :)

Wow you lucky thing, a trip to Vegas! Hubster and I got married there, we stayed at the Luxor, that was fab, but the best hotel we looked in was the Venetian, St.Marks square is exactly as it really is. Just amazing. Had a good time in the Fashion Forum Mall too. And the aquarium at the Mandalay Bay is awesome. Have a wonderful time there. Rosie in the UK.

I got married in LV almost 3 years ago. We stayed at the Monte Carlo. It's a great hotel (relatively inexpensive, clean). If I could pick a hotel to stay at in the future, it would be the Mandalay Bay or the Wynn. Lots of great shopping at Caesars Palace. Probably start looking at tickets for shows, if you can get some. I hear "O" is great (any Cirque Du Soleil show). A lot of great restaurants to choose from. You'll never go hungry! Plus, with all the walking you'll be doing, you'll burn off all those calories!

I've been fortunate enough to go 4 times in the last couple of years. If you are looking for a place to sleep and play, then Four Queens is my pick. Without a doubt the cheapest, cleanest place with the nicest people. We stayed 3 nights last month for only $112 TOTAL! Seriously, you can't stay at Motel 6 locally for that price. The food was GOOD, too! And cheap! More money to spend at the stamp store!!! YEP! Viva Las Vegastamps. Great hidden treasures to be found there. I spent my "travel" money there.
Enjoy Vegas! I'm heading back in March. Email me for any additional information. I love to share deals. :o)

Vegas is so much fun! You'll have a great time. Be sure to see the fountains at Bellagio.

What are nestabilitie squares? Where can they be found?

I went there b/c I wanted to see a desert.
We rented a car for a day and drove to the Red Desert, or Red canyon, something red. the drive was so amazing and pretty. We saw cactus, unidentified bugs and lizard-like things as we semi- climbed a hillside. Coming from the seaside, it was a huge awakening to me.
Enjoy, whatever you do.
