Hi friends! I'm popping in quickly from Chicago to say hi, and share my card for this week's Sketch Challenge. Kim, Jody and I are off to CHA to catch up and walk the floor to see all that's new. I made this week's sketch card for my roomie and sweet friend Jody who's embarking on a big move!
I used Pure Innocence Butterfly Kisses and picked this "smile" from All Smiles. It's been added to a piece of one of the Sentiment Strips Die-namics. Handy little babies, you need them if you haven't picked them up already!
This fun patterned paper is from Pebbles, I'm going to cry when it's gone. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to come home with a LONG wish list of paper from the show.....
I finished off the inside with the Square STAX Die-namics and then "change is good" from the PI set. I'm not sure I could have worked this cute butterfly paper into a card front, don't get me wrong, it's adorable, but I'm sort of weird with patterned papers... I can't tell you why I don't find that giant floral paper on the front too busy to pair with an image, but I do find this butterfly print too busy to pair with an image. Do y'all have weird paper crafting rules like that?
I know I've mentioned before, but I LOVE using white card stock as a base with bold papers like this. It feels especially crisp to me.
Here's the sketch to follow along with this week, be sure to have your sample to the Splitcoaststampers Gallery for your chance at the weekly prize, selected at random. Head on over to the MFT Blog to see who has samples to share today.
