Get Sketchy with My Favorite Things

I was sifting through my Pure Innocence images for today's sketch and ran across this sweetheart "Snow Day" she's still one of my favorites.   I've been wanting to play around with my Distress Markers again, so I pulled out a piece of Watercolor Paper, my Brilliance Ink, Embossing Powder and my Heat tool and got my image ready.  Then I got to painting with my water-brush.  I find this so soothing, just ink and blend.....  I'll get cracking on that tutorial I've promised.

I added some details with the Glitzy Glitter for the snowballs, and some Liquid Applique on her boot and hat.  I'm using the Let it Snowflake Die-namic cut from Puff Cloud White Felt, with a small Pink Lemonade Button through the center.

Here's the full card, I chose some lovely Glitz Design patterned papers to coordinate with the marker colors and a little scalloped trim courtesy of the Simply Scallops Die-namics.

Sort of a soft and shabby winter card.....

Here are the color Distress Markers I used in today's card.....

Here's this week's sketch and I hope you'll play along and add your sample to the gallery at Splitcoaststampers! After all, you might be the winner at random of the weekly prize.....

Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a full list of designers with samples to share today!

Very cute card! I like your distres ink colored, sweet PI. Great paper choices. I also like the sparkly snowballs. It looks like her boots have 3-D snow or something on them and that's a nice detail, too. :)
