I started with my older son, he's quite the reader, he's the kid that I've got to go in and tell him lights out, no more reading, and occasionally take the flashlight out from under the covers. Love that he's a bookworm, but it makes it hard to get him up the next morning at times.
To start, let's take a look at the card I made for him, this is the You Move Me stamp set and Die-namics, and I've used my handy Circle STAX die-namics. (You'll find links to everything at the bottom of the post.)
The smaller sentiment fits perfectly on the Bookmark Duo Die-namics. I added a set of the Circle STAX the top of the bookmark for the little moon & rocket. How cute is that little rocket trail stamp?
For the bookmark, I like to keep the layers really flat so that it doesn't damage the book binding. So I skip my favorite elements like bows, buttons and dimensional flowers. Everything is secured nice and flat..... I wanted to point out that I cut each of the bookmark layers twice (once from cardstock, and once from pattern paper) for durability.
I cut both the wide bookmark, and the skinny bookmark. The skinny one is anchored to the back.
That way I can slide it over the top of the page....
and it will anchor securely over the top of the page without slipping.

That is too cute! I am sure he loves the bookmark you made for him. The little felt clouds are perfect. :)
So sweet for your boys! I love the bookmark and matching card! The felt adds a nice touch without adding bulk!
Cute as can be! I'm sure that your kids enjoy using their bookmarks! Thanks for sharing! (P.S. Our DS used the flashlight under the covers for years...:)
Super cute card and bookmark! Great colors and stamping. Like the layered stax and thanks for showing how you made the "split" bookmark; great idea. :)
