Feeling Scrappy....

I know I've mentioned before that I'm a mom to two very busy little boys. I bought the Project Life kit last year with the hopes of getting some quick pages put together. I've made some progress, but I'm really excited to jumpstart my progress with the new Laina Lamb Design at My Favorite Things

I finally found the Project Life layout that works best for me. I often have a mix of horizontal and vertical photos and the Design G pages seem to work best for me.  I put together this page so quickly yesterday.

Up first I used the MFT Cork to cut the Star STAX Die-namics the adjoining panel uses the new High-Rise Alphabet Die-namics for "ONE" and I stamped out the word "Grade" with the Typewriter Alphabet.

My beloved Fishtail Flags STAX now have a companion Fishtail Flags Layers STAX!  Trust me when I tell you you'll want to have both sets. I use these babies all the time and now they have perfect layers.

I've used bits of the new Accent It - Flags and Tags - they're great for sentiment placement, but also fun little accents.  I'm using the new Nightshift Blue cardstock and buttons on my project today, it's really SUCH a great color!   I actually glued the button to the outside of the page protector with my hot glue gun.

I pulled last month's High-Rise Alphabet in lowercase to add "buds" to the bottom group photo.  He's got such a fun and funny group of friend at school, I'm so happy for him that he heads off with such a great group of kids each day.

My son was SO excited when he came home from school to see it and my plan is to sit down and journal his 10 best memories together.  I used the Accent it Flags and Tags to tuck just a half of the medallion behind the journaling card and then zig-zag stitched it in place.  The numbers for the journaling are included all one one block so you can line it up easy-peasy (love that)  I used the denim stamp from the Western Backgrounds stamp set to add a little something extra to my Nightshift Blue cardstock.

Here's a close look at all the NEW elements I've used today:
