I'm here to share my second sample for the current CR84FN Challenge. The challenge runs for two weeks, so you have lots of time to play along! The current challenge features, plum, gold and tan. I'll admit, purple and gold are two colors that scare the daylights out of me from a creative standpoint, but as it so turns out I've LOVED working with these colors.
I'm using the newest Triple Scoop Stamp Set from My Favorite Things title Clearly Sentimental about New Beginnings. I stamped it to the Designer Labels 4 STAX. (Of the Label STAX, it's my favorite!)
I brought in the gold with this pretty gold glitter paper that I picked up at Michaels. I cut the Flower Medley Die-namics, the Fringed Perennial from a tan grid paper and the Scalloped Rolled Flower from Sweet Tooth Felt. Two Royal Leaves were cut from text printed paper and given a healthy dose of Distress Ink. A tiny trio of Fishtail Flags is tucked in.
The great thing about challenges is that I would never have reached for these colors on my own, but I'm so very glad that I did.
And be sure to add your sample to the thread on THIS post on the CR84FN blog! You can find samples from all the girls on the CR84FN by clicking around to visit all the girls on the team:
