Bye Bye Google Reader - Part Two

A few weeks ago, I shared with you that Google Reader will be closed as of July 1st.  GASP!

But, that's okay because there are options.  Today I've set up Bloglovin' for a little trial run.
The transition is very easy, because you can just log in with Facebook.

You can also import your existing subscriptions from Google Reader (but remember, you'd have to set that up before Google Reader closes on July 1st.)

It did take a little bit to have all my feeds imported, but I just went and made a cup of coffee. Yum!

For me, the experience is very similar to Google Reader, so if you really, really love Google Reader, then Bloglovin' may be for you.

I also just installed the Free App on my phone so now I'll be ready with a little blog reading while I pass some time in the car pickup line:

If you decide you like the reader, I hope you'll remember to follow my blog with Bloglovin

Definitely going to check out Bloglovin'. I'm disappointed that Google Reader is going to be done, but glad there is another easy option!

Checking it out - I couldn't get feedly to work for me, so hoping this one does.

I am researching alternatives too and actually have imported to several different ones. Unfortunately Bloglovin' doesn't look like it is going to work for me as I do not want to click on each blog to read.

Hi Joanne, Thank you for sharing this info with us. I took your advise and signed to Bloglovin. The transition was really smooth. However, after a long search, I just couldn't figure out how to see the entire blog post on the reader. I ended changing to Feedly, and, gosh, it is awesome! You have to check it out. I just wanted to share this with you because you made me take the big step of leaving Google Reader. Thanks, Candida
