Paper Piecing with MFT

One of my very favorite ways to complete an image is to paper piece.  It's such a fun way to dig into that paper stash, and it's like dressing paper dolls.  I'm always on the lookout for small bits of pattern that would be suitable for outfitting my images.

My friend Barbara has written an extensive tutorial for the MFT Academy. There's tips and tricks for this technique - from very simple images all the way through piecing an entire scene with paper. I now simply MUST have a pair of crafty tweezers for ideal paper placement.  You'll find her tutorial HERE and I hope you'll go check it out. I can't recommend her article enough, it's so detailed and loaded with lots of eye candy!

For my paper piecing today I'm using the new Doodle Garden Party Time image.  These larger sized images are fun to color, and the lines on this dress are a breeze to paper piece.  Can you say a match made in heaven?   If you haven't seen the full line of Doodle Garden images, you can find them HERE.

The sentiment sits on a Sentiment Strips Die-namics. Those babies always make for easy-peasy sentiment placement! Thanks for stopping by today!
