This month, the My Favorite Things release is centered around all things BIRTHDAY! After all, it's Kim's Birthday month - and My Favorite Things' birthday too! Be sure to hit the MFT Blog for all the details on this month's amazing release.
You'll find Party Balloons stamp set, Party Balloons Die-namics, and Happy Birthday Die-namics only at mftstamps.com.
Today I have a happy little birthday card to share using the fun new Birthday Balloons Stamp Set and the coordinating Birthday Balloons Die-namics die. Just look, I'm starting to get the hang of this clean and simple stamping!
I carefully inked the word "birthday" with my Sour Apple ink, being sure to not get any ink on the "i" then I stamped the balloon string in place. Next I inked the word "happy" with my Blu Raspberry ink and sightly overlapped it onto the word "birthday." Using a white pigment ink, I overstamped the word happy just slightly off center. Lastly I dotted the "i" using the balloon image.
When I showed the finished card to my ten year old, he gasped and marveled that the words have a somewhat 3-D effect from the overstamping process. I super loved the way it turned out and plan on trying other 3-D shadowed words when we get back from vacation.
I kept the palette on this card really fresh and clean - Kraft, Sour Apple, Sweet Tooth and Blu Rasberry with just a quick little touch of Black Licorice for the balloon string. I'm thinking this would also make an adorable little girls birthday card by switching out the blue for pinks.
The rich coverage of the MFT Premium Dye Inks are absolutely spectacular for stamping on Kraft card stock. I love how vibrant the stamped images are even on this kraft paper!
Be sure to head on over to the MFT Blog for a list of all the other designers with samples to share today, and of course, to learn about your chances to win a Teaser Time Prize!
