Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm so excited that I'm kicking off the week with so many planned blog posts. It's been ages since I had the chance to blog regularly. Today I've got a sample for one of my "appointment" challenges - the Sweet Sunday Sketch.
Since I spent a lot of my weekend cleaning my stamp room, it made it easier to flip through my supplies to find a stamp set to accommodate this sketch. I need to build up a little stash of birthday cards, so using the Birthday Sentiments stamp set was a no-brainer.
I selected my Pink Lemonade and Gold color combination first, and committed to my background inking with the Woodgrain Background with Whip Cream pigment ink.
The gold was used to stamp "Birthday" and also to add the Sheet Music Backgrounder to my Royal Rose. Two small leaves were added using the Royal Leaves Die-namics.
While the sketch called for just one Fishtail Flag, I took a few liberties and added a second cut from Factory Green card stock. A few small enamel dots were added to balance out that otherwise empty little corner of the layout.
Here's this week's sketch from Karen Giron, I hope you'll head on over and play along too!
You'll find links to the products I've used in today's card just below, I'll see you tomorrow at NOON with a card for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch!
