I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Between dog training and the boys sports we had a very busy one here. Since I'm not a football fan I was able to sneak away to work on a card for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.
When I first peeked at the sketch I knew I wanted to do a few things. The first thing I knew I wanted to do was to pair Spearmint and Navy. I lived in this color combination last summer, I just love these colors together.
The second thing I wanted to do was to use my Circle Die-namics to cut a window through my card front instead of layering a circle on top. I cut the first window from my Primitive White card stock. Then I cut circle two sizes smaller from Nightshift Blue card stock and layered it behind. The windows are popped up on top of the Polka Dot Cover-Up.
The Banner Greetings stamp set has a sentiment for just about any occasion, and of course pairs perfectly with the Banner Greetings Die-namics. I added a little embellishment with my Pretty Posies Die-namics and a set of Spearmint Royal Leaves. I added a little pop of color with Tangy Orange card stock.
Do you see how gorgeous the Nightshift Blue ink is. Why haven't I used this a gazillion times? I don't know... but I know I plan to!
Here's this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch, be sure to add your version to Karen's link up widget.
Here's the links to the products I'm using today, thank you so much for stopping by!
