I am so thrilled to be on a blogging roll. Today I'm back with my fourth card to share with you this week during a non-release week. Amazing!
Today's card is courtesy of the Mojo Monday Card sketch. It's also brought to you by my newly organized craft desk. Having my things organized so well helps me flip through my stamps in order to see what works best for the sketch.
Instead of having the panel covering UP the layout, I used the sketch to knock OUT a layer. That's easy to do with the cut and re-cut technique. Here goes:
- Cut the main panel out using Blueprints 1
- Using my Rectangle STAX, I run that die-cut back through the machine, cutting a frame out of the center.
- Back with the Modern Morocco plate.
- Assemble layers using dimensional tape for lots of dimension.
These pretty roses are a two-step stamp from MFT designed by Mona Pendleton called Contemporary Roses. The first layer was stamped with Pink Lemonade, the second layer with Bubblegum ink.
Both the Kraft rectangle and the stitched strip were cut with elements from Blueprints 1 - this is an absolute go-to set for me for cutting card bases and panels. This one gets a lot of work from me. :)
The kraft layer is softly stamped with Natural ink using the script from the Pretty Poppies stamp set. The pretty "thank you" sentiment is also from that same stamp set. See, having my stamps all organized make it easy to go on a hunt in my stamp room for supplies.
This week's sketch is pretty straightforward, so I'm sure you'll have lots of stamps and dies that would work well for this layout. Hope you'll head on over to the link to post your version of the sketch too.
All my supplies today are from My Favorite Things. You can find links just below to the individual products. Thanks for stopping by!
