Good morning and welcome to this week's Deconstructed Sketch! I had fun playing around to see which of my stamps and Die-namics would fit this week's sketch best. This week's sketch is a more let's say "unusual" style, and this was a fun challenge to put this little puzzle together. Luckily I'm very well supplied with Die-namics so I could play around to see what worked best.
I've got a bold color combination to share with you today. Let's work from the front back…
My embellishment trio was created with a Mini Royal Rose cut from Red Hot card stock, the Rolled Scallop Flower was cut from Sweet Tooth Felt, I've added a small Steel Grey button to the trio and added two small leaves cut with the Royal Leaves from Fuse Green card stock. The sweet little sentiment was pulled from the Birthday Sentiments stamp set.
The circular elements in this little card are a combination of the Pierced Circle STAX, the Open Scallop Doily and one large Circle STAX. The banner panel was cut from Fishtail Flags and you might notice that I've stamped the Woodgrain Background using Natural Ink.
I added a little square to my card, you'll see that the original is a circular card… I've added it to a square panel of Red Hot card stock that was overstamped with Red Hot ink using the Sheet Music Background stamp. I used my edge distressed to really rough up the edges for a soft aged look.
I hope you'll head over to visit all the Deconstructed Sketch Girls - and I hope you'll play around with this fun sketch too!
