My Favorite Things New Product Lauch - Striped Backgrounds

At long last, it's time for the New Release at My Favorite Things to be AVAILABLE! I'm so excited to share a few projects for tonight's New Product Launch.  I hope you're ready to sit back and enjoy a few cards tonight!

The My Favorite Things New Release items that we've been taunting you with for the last seven days are NOW AVAILABLE!   Before I get to my projects for tonight, I have amazing news to share:

Visit each of the MFT Designers' January Product Launch posts linked on the MFT Blog and leave a comment by the end of the day on Thursday, February 13 for your chance to WIN one of two, $100 Gift Vouchers. The winners will be chosen at random and announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, February 14th. Ready? Set. Comment!

For my first card, I want you to think elegant, these dark grey stripes remind me of a tuxedo, especially when paired with a bit of gold and a bit of ivory.  For this little tailored strip I stamped to Steel Grey using Steel Grey ink - looks pretty sharp eh?  This pretty sentiment is from the new Simply Fabulous Sentiments set.

The background was created with one of my MFT Stencils and some crackle embossing paste. This is the Scallops Stencil

Just a tip: Someone recommended buying two of each stencil, one for messy things like pastes and one for dry embossing. This is a great idea and I think I'm going to work on collecting doubles of my favorites.

I love dressing up my rolled flower Die-namics with text or music print.  Today I've got the Mini Royal Roses and the Royal Rose Die-namics. First stamped with gold ink using the Sheet Music Background, then Die-cut then rolled.  The solid versions of the Layered Leaves were added here cut from Factory Green card stock.

I couldn't help but put the Smart Phone Die-namics and Friend Request stamp set to use one more time.  This is a preppy little phone using Nightshift Blue, Gumdrop Green, Razzle Berry and a lot of Whip Cream card stock. Might I add, the Houndstooth Cover-Up plate is simply amazing!?!  Love the added texture and pop of color you get with it.

You know I love a button cluster right? This one is Razzleberry, Sno Cone and Nightshift.  Go on, pic yourself up some bags of buttons.  You'll love them!

The tiny heart in the Smart Phone Die-namics is just the right fit to add over the heart in this sentiment. Don't you love how the larger die in the Smart Phone Die-namics makes this cute case? (Now I want a gumdrop green cell phone case for myself!)

How about a clean and simple style card? I'm using the elegant Chandelier Die-namics paired with the Simply Fabulous Sentiments stamp set.  I've only tried one of these angled side panel cards though I see them just about everywhere I go. So today, I've got an angled side panel card showcasing the Striped Backgrounds stamp set in gold ink.

For really detailed Die-namics like this, you'll want to add the Metal Adapter Plate to your sandwich stack, it applies really FIRM pressure across the cut so that you get the very best results.  The tiny "hello" was stamped with gold ink to a Sentiment Strip and then I scissor cut the end.  Three small golden enamel dots were added to accent the sentiment.

You *might* think I'm done, but I've got ONE more card to share with you tonight.

I fought my "more is more" mentality and went for a clean and cute little nautical baby.  I stamped a piece of Whip Cream card stock with the Striped Background using Nightshift Blue ink.  It was then die-cut with the Pierced Traditional Tags STAX - the matting was cut with the Traditional Tags STAX cut from Nightshift card stock. I added a little snippet of Whip Cream Grosgrain Ribbon and then accented with a Nightshift Button.

My little sentiment was cut from Factory Green card stock using the teeny and ADORABLE Little Lowercase Letters. I hadn't had a chance to use the cute ship's wheel from the Let's Get Nautical Die-namics so here we go!  I used corrugated cardboard for the wheel for a more textured effect. You know what's fun about the HUGE range of colors that MFT offers, today I'm using Red Hot which is more of a "tomato" red- it coordinates with my little enamel dots.

This streamlined layout is courtesy of this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

I hope you've enjoyed this look at the Striped Background stamp set - it's great for clean and simple type cards, lots of layer cards, cutesy style cards and elegant ones too.

Remember that you'll find all the New Release Products available NOW in the MFT Boutique. Be sure to head on over to the MFT Blog for links to all the designers with a card or project to share with you tonight.

Here are links to all the amazing My Favorite Things products i'm using tonight!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
