MFT New Release Countdown - Blueprints 17

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for my LONG crafting hiatus, between the boys wrapping up school, and dealing with a recuperating dog June was a little crazy for me.  I'm excited to say that my friend Dart is fully healed, and doing just great. He's enjoying summer to the fullest right now!

I've also been busy behind the scenes creating video previews for MFT. Don't forget that each day during the New Release Countdown you'll find a stamp and a Die-namics preview video on the MFT Blog.  I hope you will check them out.

You will want to check the MFT Blog even day during the New Release Countdown for full stamp and Die-namics previews, links to participating designers and information about the Release Countdown Prizes! The new release will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at 10pm EST.  I have previews for you *almost* every day during that time, so I hope you'll come back to visit me!

Up first I've got two cards using the new Blueprints 17. This is a really fun, and different one.  You can use it to create a chalkboard right on the front of your square card.  Conveniently it coordinates with the Birthday Chalkboard Greetings stamp set.

I'm also enamored with the brand new Happy Birthday Background, it's entirely possible that I've used it on every single card I've made this week!  Today it was stamped with Sweet Tooth ink to a piece of Lemon Drop card stock.

This fun Blueprints 17 Die-namics includes this miniature bow to embellish your chalkboard, if you haven't used any of the MFT Bow Die-namics the video today will show you how to assemble it.

The video will also show you how to layer the single wood plank, which features this cool embossing feature, for a layered look to your chalkboard.

Here's another sample for you, in this example, I wanted to show you how Blueprints 17 includes this clever banner design. You simply fold over the triangular tabs to trap your twine inside.  It also includes these tiny accent pieces for quick layering.  And yes, another fabulous MFT Background to share with you, this one is the Diagonal Stripe.  This card was designed using one of the included Blueprints 17 sketches. Each month you just download the PDF file and print it.  I keep mine tucked inside the coordinating Blueprints packaging so that whenever I reach for the dies, I've got the sketch at the ready.

Here are two more fun sentiments from the Birthday Chalkboard Greetings stamp set.

This month's release is filled with celebratory elements - basically everything you'd need for birthday cards, handcrafted gifts, tags and even party decor!  Don't forget to check out the MFT Blog every day for more details. I'll see you Friday with another card featuring all sorts of New Release Goodies!
