This one looked super fun though, and since Alma is going to be my room-mate at CHA (waving HI Alma!!) I was inspired to get Cat's Pajama's Stamps off the shelf where they had been waiting patiently behind a few DT assignments, and into the rotation. I totally adore this set titled It's a Mod Mod World
The designer paper is Hello Sunshine, one of the latest releases from Cosmo Cricket - what a fun set of colors, so bright and summery, just right for a TCP creation!
I stamped the rocket ship with my Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad, then colored the image with copic markers. My husband was annoyed that I made the boosters green, he said they should be orange or red, and I said "Really, dogs also don't fly rocketship, so give a girl some creative license!!" After I had colored everything, I masked the bottom half of the ship so that I could stamp Poochie into the opening, then coated the top window with Diamond Glaze for a shiny glassy effect.
While you can't see it here, the silvery portion of the rocketship was given a little glimmer with my sakura stardust pen, then blended around with my aquapainter - a great tip from Jen herself!
When I went to link this up to The Cat's Pajama's I realized that its also TCP Tuesday, which means that one of the DT Members has posted a weekly challenge, this time its Leigh with a fun sketch. Since my stamps are still out and handy, I'm going to be playing along for sure!
