It is the last day of previews for My Favorite Things - and there are SO many amazing stamp sets and accessories this month. I was anxious to dig into this fun new paper that Jody sent me (thanks Jody!) I thought it would be a fabulous card for my second grader's teacher.
I reached for Jen's amazing sketch for this week and fiddled around with the papers to see how I could get the patterns to work. I knew that I wanted a fun argyle print sweater for the teacher so I started there. I LOVE 6x6 pads for cardmaking, the prints are the perfect size for paper piecing!
You'll see a preview of TWO new Die-namics in this sample, the Banner Strip Die and the Stacking Stars Die. The stacking star die will cut five stars with a single cut, two are an open center star, and three are a solid star. You'll see that I tucked one of the open stars right around my Divine Twine bow.
And because I couldn't find a place for a sentiment on the outside of my card, I added the sentiment to the inside, sewed up some remnant patterned paper, and added a few more stars to the inside...
Don't forget that tonight is the new release from My Favorite Things - you'll want to join us at the New Release Party tonight on Splitcoast Stampers - party begins HERE at 8pm EST, and the new stamps and accessories will be available this evening beginning at 10pm EST! We'll kick off our monthly Shop Hop tonight at 10pm - when all the girls on the Design Team will have one last project to share with you!
Stop by Kim's blog today at 11am EST for a full list of designers participating in previews today. Remember that two stamp sets are up for grabs every day of previews - you never know WHO is holding the blog candy, so be sure to leave some love wherever you go just in case!
