So Appreciated....

If you have little kids, then I'm sure you know that next week here in the US is Teacher Appreciation Week.  I am blessed that my boys have amazing teachers this year and we've had a wonderful, wonderful year.

I'm even more excited that my younger son is "looping" with his teacher so that they'll be together for second grade next year too.  This will be a wonderful transition for him and I know he'll have a jumpstart to a fantastic year in second grade!

I inked up my new à la modes: An Apple for Teacher and took a spin through my pattern paper packs.  I chose this October Afternoon to play with. (You'll see another card with this in the next few days as I got started on another fun little card with that paper....)

Her tiny skirt was paper pieced with a scrap of denim pattern paper from my stash bin, and I added just a bit of the new Wild Cherry Ribbon  I've got a bit of Die-namics Scallop Trim - we've got loads of Scallop Die-namics so I've always got one to suit the size and scale of my project....

But then, I also had the idea to pull out my First Place Award Ribbon and create a badge for her to wear next week.  I seriously love making these, and guess what, the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics are a fabulous addition to an embellished award ribbon. I've used the 3/4 Rosette Die-namcs.  (If you're not familiar with the Rosette Die-namics you can see an assembly video for that here.)

I'm off to mass production mode to get ready for next week. Wish me luck!

Super cute, Joanne! I love the scallops around the Award Ribbon and your card is absolutely amazing. I'm sure their teachers will love these and it's fantastic that your son will keep the same teacher next year too! Have a fab weekend :)

Joanne, somehow I missed this when it was posted and I'm very disappointed in myself because I could have made these for DH and his colleagues! Next year!
