Never Stop Learning

The other day, the boys in my house were busy watching football, playing Wii and washing the car.  After lots of cooking and a few pesky chores, I snuck away to play at my stamp desk. I'd love to say studio, but it's really a corner of the playroom. So I get to hear "hey mom, watch this" as they perform new tricks on the Wii, or have to listen to yet another Pokemon episode on television. (.yawn.)  All I can say is thank goodness for HBO GO on my iPad and a set of headphones.  (If you don't have that app, and you do subscribe to HBO, you won't want to miss it.)

I recently picked up the Echo Park for the Record patterned paper, and I hadn't yet used the Blue/Green one.  (I've used the pink and red one a bunch already.)  We have Open House at my son's school on Thursday so I thought I'd create a little card for the teacher, and she's not really a pink sort of gal.

The Bookmark Duo Stamp set is pretty fabulous for cards, not just bookmarks. (Though I'll probably whip up one of those for her too later this week, stay tuned.)

If you read here a lot, you might recognize that this card was created with something I hardly EVER use.  Colored cardstock.  I picked up several colors of the MFT Cardstock and this is Gumdrop Green. It's a bright and happy green and I *really* really like it.

Here's your Wednesday Stamp Club layout for the week. Be sure to play along for YOUR chance at the weekly prize drawn at random.  You'll find links to all the participating designers on the MFT Blog today.

Here are the links to all the products used in today's post:

Great card, not colors I would choose, but they look wonderful. I need to think outside the box better! ♥

Pretty! I like the blue and green with just a smidge of black. This sentiment is awesome! I'm sure a teacher will appreciate it.
