Today's the day that we share previews with the upcoming Clearly Sentimental Stamp Set. This will be the new Triple Scoop. After all, don't forget that with a $60 order at My Favorite Things, you qualify for a free full sized stamp set!
I've got a LONG post for you today, I've had a lot of fun getting crafty with the spectacular new products from My Favorite Things! This month's is Clearly Sentimental about New Beginnings. I was excited to dig into my new Paver Red Cardstock for today's card and a fresh shipment of 6x6 paper pads.
Paver Red buttons, cardstock, felt and ribbon will all be available as part of the new release on Tuesday night. I've paired it with a Nightshift Blue button (from last month's release don't they look so pretty together) and a Whip Cream cardbase.
Here's a peek at all the sentiments included in this beautiful stamp set.
Last month's Triple Scoop: Seasonal Sentiments will be available for individual purchase. You might remember I used this project a *ton* last month for the October Release. It is a beautiful stamp set, and if you didn't already earn it for free, you'll really want to look into picking it up.
Today I've paired it with the new Jumbo Snowflake cut from Sweet Tooth felt.
I have a few tips to cut the Jumbo Snowflake from felt.
- Be sure to use a quality felt, like MFT Felt. The acrylic felt you'll find at the "big box" crafty stores doesn't work well.
- Use the Metal Adaptor plate that is sold at www.mftstamps.com it will add increased pressure to your cutting stack, especially with finely detailed intricate cuts.
- I added a cardstock shim to my sandwich stack too. The little felt pieces popped right out without any "hairy strings" that you can sometimes get when you cut felt.
I added a Snow Cone button to the center tied with the Hemp Cord. I love the fresh color combination of Kraft, Snow Cone and White.
Here's a peek at another new Die-namics die.... this is the Pointsettia Die-namics. It's huge and loaded with Dimension. I'm in love! I thought it would make for a beautiful gift tag for my collection. I'm stocking up so that I'll have lots of pretty tags for upcoming gifts.
I cut the layers from the new Paver Red Cardstock, Jellybean Green for the leaves, Hot Fudge and Kraft for the centers. The new Paver Red coordinates perfectly with this new Theresa Collins paper pack that I picked up recently.
Here's a look at the full tag, I've added a sentiment from the Seasonal Sentiments, Simply Scallop and Solid Bracket trim. Lastly, I stitched on a loop of the Whip Cream Ribbon which will be handy when it comes time to tie this onto a gift.
Here's a closeup of the bottom section. I layered two rows of Simply Scallops Die-namics and added over a Solid Bracket Die-namics cut from corrugated cardboard. The sentiment "to" was added to a Fishtail Flag and I left space for the recipient's name. I added the tiniest button I could find from the Paver Red Buttons and of course, finished that little baby off with Hemp Cord. No thank you to naked buttons - those babies need twine!
Remember that you will find links to all the participating designers today on the MFT Blog!
Here's a link to the products I've used in today's project, thanks SO much for stopping by today!
