You may have seen on the news, but here in New England we got snowed in over the weekend. It was a crazy storm, and I'm so fortunate that we didn't lose power. While the boys were busy playing in the snow, I was busy making valentines for their classmates.
The Lollipop Treat Die-namics from My Favorite Things sure made quick work of this. I'm lucky enough to have a Vagabond so I set up a little something on DVR while I cut all the layers, then dragged my supplies upstairs to watch a movie with my husband while I stamped all the pieces.
I kept the design very simple since I had to make 25 of these babies. My ten year old son was the art director. He chose the stamps from the Lollipop Additions - Love, ink and cardstock for the pieces, and then I did all the production. The cardstock is Red Hot, Sweet Tooth & Black Licorice. I'm using the Razzleberry and Black Licorice inks.
I used the tiniest alphabet from Typewriter Alphabet for to add his name. He didn't want these too lovey dovey, but did agree to let me use one small heart next to his name.
Being the mom to allergy boys, I'm always asked to bake the treats. Tonight's job is whoopie pies. I found the cutest heart shaped whoopie pie pan at Target! Wishing you a love filled day tomorrow!
