Last week My Favorite Things celebrated it's SEVENTH birthday with a big Release Party. If you missed it, then you'll want to head on over to check out all the items in the Brand Spankin New Category!
Just before the July Release, I was on vacation with my family so I didn't get a chance to stamp my brains out like I usually do. (I'd tried to sneak my Vagabond, Die-namics and an assortment of cardstock into my bags, but my husband noticed and gave me the stink-eye.... )
Instead, I had to get a little stealthy....I tucked a few items into my suitcase so I could do a little watercoloring on the road. For me, crafting on the go consisted of the following:
- Pure Innocence Crafty Friends
- Pure Innocence Grillin Girl
- my trusty Ranger Distress Markers
- a waterbrush
- the new PI Crafty Girl
- my beloved stamp press
- a Watercolor Paper pad
- Brilliance ink.
How could I watercolor one of these cuties without showing some love for the other? Here's a peek at the Grillin' Girl. Since my Dotted Scalloped Border Trio was already handy, I added a bit of it to this card too with a scrap of Sweet Tooth card stock. Both the main image and it's coordinating matting were cut with the Rectangle STAX Set One and Rectangle STAX Set Two.
I added my sentiment "Well Done" using the new Sentiment Strips II Die-namics. It's a set of four designed to make for quick and easy sentiment placement. I chopped off one end and added a Gumdrop Green Button tied with a bit of Hemp Cord.
