Release Rewind with My Favorite Things

Hi everyone!  Is it wrong that I was actually excited for a rainy afternoon over the weekend so that I could escape to my craft desk?  I'm so looking forward to the weather cooling off for boots, sweaters and let's be very honest, more stamping time!

For today's My Favorite Things Release Rewind I'm playing with stamps that I didn't get a chance to play with during last week's Teaser Time.  I always keep a little pile of things I didn't get to use yet - I like to give all the new products a spin before cleaning up and organizing post release.  There were a bajillion new adorable products unveiled this month, I do hope you'll head over for a little SHOPPING!

Up first, I'm excited to show two cards made with the new set from Suzy Plantamura - Sweet Christmas.  I reached for my Distress Markers and painted up these sweet little sentiments.  So fun!  Love Suzy's Doodles!

I stamped the Large Scale Backgrounds with Whip Cream ink onto Berrylicious card stock. In my close up you can see that I've stamped the Sheet Music Background to Electric Red card stock which has been diecut with the Winter Rose Die-namics.

The Pierced Rectangle STAX add just the right amount of detail to your main panels.  If you read here a lot, you know I stitch a LOT on my cards, this little detail saves me a step and adds just the detail I was looking for!

I went for a cotton candy color combination on this next card Pink Lemonade and Blu Raspberry.  The sentiment was watercolored with my distress markers, and then I gave a sugary coat of glitter to the "Sweet" (my son wanted to know if I'd used real sugar! nope, it's a clear glitter) This cute layout is this week's Deconstructed Sketch.

The Swiss Dots Die-namics is such a fun one, I love mixing the color combinations for fun pops of color.  The Blue Raspberry layer has been stamped tone-on-tone with the Sheet Music Background

I've embellished with a Let it Snowflake die-cut from Sweet Tooth Felt, and a pair of Fishtail Flags.

I also watercolored up the new Trim the Branches Snowman - isn't he a cutie?  I stamped a quick background with kraft ink onto kraft card stock with the new Sheet Music background.  Since I'd die-cut the three Let It Snowflakes, I added another to this layout and added a coordinating Blu Raspberry button.  A small Gumdrop Green Fishtail  Flag peeks out from the side. This sweet layout is the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge

I didn't really have any good sentiment placement options so I went ahead and created a finished inside too.  I added another piece of the Kraft stamped paper, and a this adorable sentiment. Easy peasy!

So many really amazing elements were just added to the My Favorite Things lineup, I do hope you'll head over to the MFT Boutique and check out all the amazing new stamps, Die-namics, stencils and inks too!
