My Favorite Things - Release Rewind

I can't believe it, but even after blogging my brains out for the My Favorite Things New Release Countdown I still had product left to use and ideas swirling around in my head.  This has been a fantastic release and I've really enjoyed myself.

Today I have a few more cards to share with you, just in case you haven't had a chance to shop yet…

Several MFT Designers have cards and projects to share with you as part of the Release Rewind today. Be sure to check the MFT Blog for details.

Up first, I wanted to showhow pretty the Hugs and Kisses Cover-Up looks when used to emboss instead of cut.  This is the Primitive Cream card stock and I just adore it - treat yourself you will LOVE it.  The stamp set is Love Story and it is brimming with gorgeous, love-filled sentiments.

I stamped with Versamark ink, then heat embossed with Detail White embossing powder.  To give a real chalkboard effect, I lightly rubbed the finished piece with my Whip Cream ink and a sponge dauber.

I've added a trio of embellishments using the Royal Rose Die-namics, Layered Rose Die-namics and a Grout Grey button.  The Layered Leaves Die-namics are simply stunning - today I'm using just the overlay without their companion solid backing.  I've added a teeny-tiny little Pink Lemonade button to the center of the Layered Rose.  I haven't added a big fluffy bow to a card in ages, but this pretty ribbon

Here's my second card to share with you today - clean and simple again.
Maybe I'm starting to get the hang of this?

Here's a peek at the gorgeous new TRANSFORM-ables Heart full of Love Die-namics.  It is so easy to create this beautiful overlay using this new die set.  This is a clean and simple card design for me, I usually want to add a gajillion layers but I settled on the new bold graphic Patterned Triangles Background stamped in Whip Cream pigment ink. The pigment ink from MFT will require just a bit more drying time, or a zap with your heat tool, but the effect is dreamy.

I also added a trio of enamel dots in this pretty olive color.   The overlay was cut from the new Grout Gray card stock.  To do this you use the cut & re-cut technique pairing the two heart shaped dies in this set.  It's a breeze!  The overlay was set on top of a Electric Red heart for a big POP of color.

I might be able to get behind this clean and simple card making thing after all huh?

Are you ready for a crafty Polar Vortex?

Inspired by the frigid cold winter we're having I used the new Centerpieces Framed Lovebirds and cut the branches from corrugated cardboard.  Two pretty red birds are sitting (and freezing) on these bare trees, just like the ones I can spy from my kitchen. With the help of some white paint and some fine glitter, these trees have any icy snowy coating.

The birdies are backed with a bit of Sno Cone card stock.  The lovely thing about this die design is that it really does most of your card design work for you.

Now that my stamp room organization is coming along nicely it was easy to select a sentiment to go with my design. This pretty sentiment is from Lisa Johnson's Peaceful Wildflowers.  I stamped it with Gold Ink to one of the Pierced Traditional Tags STAX and secured with one tiny Electric Red button.

As you might have noticed, I'm pretty hooked on the MFT Cardstock. We're now up to 43 colors in the collection.  You can get one of each, along with a pre-printed color chart as part of the updated Cardstock Sampler. It's a great way to test out all the colors and choose your favorites!

Remember that this is just a sampling of the amazing new release from My Favorite Things.  You'll find all the newest stamps, Die-namics, stencils and inks HERE in the MFT Boutique.

Thanks for stopping by, and here are links to the products I've used today:
