Better Late than Never I Guess

I ordered this set from Kim at My Favorite things ages ago, and I've been just dying to use it. However, I've had some projects that just had to be completed for clients first. It has been sitting on top of my table, patiently awaiting its turn!

I'm also late getting around to Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge from LAST week, but I really loved her sketch, so even though she's onto the next sketch, I still wanted to give it a try.

These images from My Favorite Things are SO fun to work with. The dress is paper pieced. Then I colored in her arms, coffee cup, coffee and background with my color wonder crayons. But, wow, what I'd give to get my hands on My Favorite 48! Kim is now selling 48 of her favorite color Primsacolor pencils. I've been envious of all the bloggers using them for a while. I'm going to have to save up my pennies for this. While I'm really happy with the card that I made with materials I already owned, I can't even imagine how fun it would be to use those amazing pencils.

Be sure to stop by Kim's blog to read about her promotion. Her newest release "Shower Time" is available starting today, September 1st. For the month of September, Kim is including this mini set (for free!) if you purchase My Favorite 48 during the month of September.

Lastly, this is a very belated thank you note. Ugh. My personal correspondence is behind since I've been cranking out cards to sell instead. So embarrassed!! I'm going to see my brother's girlfriend later on today for a bbq, and I can NOT go there without this card completed.

Have a wonderful holiday everyone!

Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Joanne this is a great card! Those papers are great and your dress looks so pretty!! The pencils are nice but I still am more used to my crayons - takes some getting used to! Plus you need a lot of them to get the colors you want (I only have 24) so get as many as you can afford!! :) Have a great holiday!
