I'm Wicked Excited

I've been dying to say that. Its such a new england thing, or is it only a Massachusetts thing? I can clearly remember getting so laughed at in College the first time I said that.

In any case, my mother, sister, cousin and I are going to see Wicked tonight in town. I'm beyond excited. I read the book way back in the day, shortly after graduating college and have heard rave reviews about the show. Mostly though, I'm excited about a night out with the ladies. We're meeting for dinner first at PF Changs (yum!)

I grew up in NH and always said Wicked... Then I got laughed at when I moved to AZ and it came out of my mouth (Maybe I said it was "Wicked hot"). Then I got laughed at when I moved to NJ and said it (there's a Wicked lot of traffic here!) So it is a New England thing, I think. Anyway, it warms my heart to hear it and I hope you have a Wicked Good Time at dinner and the show!

I hope you enjoy the show - have a wicked good time!! I'm hoping to see it in NYC sometime when I visit my sister there!!

And as for Wicked Excited...I too dropped the phrase in college. Having grown up in Maine (yes...it was all of New England) I was teased about my accent mercilessly while going to college in California and dropped it in the first 6 months!!

Hi Joanne - definitely a northeast/New England thing - the rest of the country just doesn't get it, but I love hearing regional phrases!! from all over! :) Hope you had fun!
