Two weeks ago, Julie Masse issued a Chipboard Challenge. We were to use chipboard on a card and send our creation along to another Paper Pretties DT member. I have loads of chipboard, but I'm a hog, I hoard it. Most often, I trace the shape - usually a monogram - onto regular cardstock, cut it out and layer it. What's wrong with me? So, this time I used two pieces of chipboard for Jillian's card.
Totally monochromatic, I used the So Saffron Designer Series paper. I traced the chipboard shape onto the designer paper and then trimmed it out. Applied Stampin Up's greeting glue to the shape attached the paper and then sanded all the edges.
This is a 5 1/4 square card and even still all that chipboard didn't leave much room for a sentiment, so I inked up just a portion of a sentiment from PaperTrey Ink to create the sentiment "Simple Joys."
Be sure to check around the other Prettie Girls blogs (see links in my right hand column) to see how they used Chipboard on their cards. And, another one of us will be issuing a challenge today. Can't wait to see what we're up to next. Hope you'll join us.
