Gettin' Dressed

Every girl deserves a really great dress.  You know, one that is a guaranteed wear.  I've got one, I purchased it for my cousin's rehearsal dinner two years ago, it looked like nothing on the hanger, but I tried it on and sha'bang, its my dress.  I love any excuse to wear it. I adore it, maybe because my sister calls it "the disappearing dress" because it makes my waist look really teeny! But, two years later, its probably time to find a new one because my family is probably tired of seeing me in it!

Okay, so back to the card you're not really here to hear about my dress!

This card features the dress image from the recently released "Retro Boutique" from Gina K Designs.  I picked up some paper this week from Right at Home to make a paper pieced purse card, totally cased from Asela!  Keep an eye on her blog if you missed it at the launch party, because it is over the top STUNNING!!

The paper here is Paper Trey's Berry Sorbet and the coordinating designer paper. Here's a tip.  I didn't paper piece the little straps, the dress was first stamped onto the cardstock, then stamped again onto the designer paper. I trimmed out all the dress save for the back straps. Some of you all might be patient enough to trim all those out, but not me.  I also didn't trim out the eyelet trim on the bottom of the dress, left it all white and lacy looking!

This set of cards used up my last of that Berry Sorbet ribbon. Stinker because I love that stuff!

Have a great day everyone!
