...just a little... BLOG CANDY!

Its been a while since I've done a give-away so how about it... are you ready for a PRIZE?

Usually I make you complete a challenge for a chance at a prize, but its summer, and I know your crafty time is at a premium with the kids home, or possibly off on vacation.... I'll start back up with prizes for a challenge once school starts up again!
Every once and a while, while I'm picking up my essentials at MFT,
I pick up a little something for my prize box....for my sweet blog readers.

Today I have an extra a la modes: I've Met My Match an extra Die-namics Hearts A Plenty (one of my favorites) and this fun new File Tab (an essential if you ask me)

I've put them together in this sweet little sample featuring paper from My Mind's Eye

Here's all you have to do, is leave a comment on this post... I want to know what your favorite memory is of this summer?  I've had such a great summer with my boys, they both swim like fish and I've been loving watching my six year old work so hard on learning to ride that bike!  My older son has a real love of reading, I adore watching him grab a book and head out to my chaise lounge and tackle a few chapters.  This summer has been the best one yet, I'm in FULL denial that we've got only three weeks left till school begins!

What's YOUR favorite 2011 summer memory?  Leave me a comment for your chance to win.  The winner will be selected from all the comments at random on Monday, August 15th.

**Please leave your email address within the comments if your profile isn't already linked to an email address. Because, if I can't FIND you, I can't reward you with a prize!**

Love your card! What a sweet giveaway! My favorite memory from this Summer might sound strange. My grandpa passed away and the whole family gathered together for his funeral. We are a large family and don't always get along. We hadn't all been together in a very long time. Although it was a sad occasion, we managed to make it more of a celebration. It was so nice to be together and I cherish the memories that we made. :)

My favorite memory-bringing the kids to the beach, my son loved combing the rock pools with his grandad while my 1 year old daughter who had just started walking was very annoyed with the sand dirtying her feet :)

Perfect card - love her! Hmmm, fave memory?? Taking the boys tubing down the Comal River and watching as my hubby did a back flip (in what seemed like s-l-o-w motion!) out of his tube when he first got in! Everyone cracked up!

I have two favorite memories:

1) Enjoying pizza for lunch on the boardwalk of Ocean City with my sisters family, my whole family and my dad.

2) Watching my mom's face as she sang 'summertime' during her 75th birthday party this past weekend in Maine. She was so happy. It blessed my heart to share her joyful day with her.

Thanks for the chance to win blog candy. This set is darling and your sample card is perfect.

What an amazing card! I really love those dies too!
I have loved spending time with my boys this summer! They're both in this in-between stage, my 5yo bounces between being a 'big boy' and then snuggling on my lap. My 7yo bounces between being a big/little boy! It's been wonderful just seeing every moment this summer... I don't know what I am going to do this fall when they are BOTH going to be in school ALL day, sniff!
Thanks for letting me share! and for the chance for some awesome stuffs :)
hugs, margie

What a great card and prize. My favourite memory of the summer so far is spending the day with our friends and their children at the scitek adventure playground - great for the kids to get rid of a little energy in the sunshine.

Our summer is over in 2.5 days as the kids head back to school. We didn't really take a vacation this summer at all, but my kiddos enjoyed a week down with my parents, and I think a favorite memory every year, is that they are building such wonderful memories with their grandparents as my husband & I did with ours during the summers.

Can't wait for your challenges to start up again ;-)

Hmm, my favorite summer memory has to be having all 3 of my kids home and together for the weekend. I have 2 in college and they live away from home, so to have all 3 at home is wonderful. We had a big, wonderful dinner and then played a Cranium game. Thanks for the chance to win this wonderful Blog Candy!

I had enough time to organized my husband's Birthday party, to made homemade B'day cake, to travel in the country, one amazing trip in Romania....This summer makes me so happy and it's full of lovely happy memories.

My favorite memory of this summer is July 15th! It is the day my brother, a United States Marine, returned from one year deployment to Iraq. I have prayed everyday since he left in 2010 for his safety and the safety of all our servicemen and women. And on July 15, 2011 he put his feet back on American soil and my prayers were answered.
Thanks for the chance to win! I don't have any of these goodies and would be in heaven to win! :)

My favorite memory so far is spending a day at our gym/tennis club; I played tennis for the 1st time this year with my hubby then had lunch and hung out at the pool; had a fun, relaxing day with my sweeyheart! That adorable stamp would make for some cute tennis-themed cards! Thanks for the chance to play along Joanne!

As always, I adore your cards! They are the best. This summer we went to MFUGE in Nashville, TN with our youth from church. We went to serve those who are less fortunate ones, the lost and the homeless, but I must say, we were served and humbled in return. What a life changing memory for me and my 2 kiddos, ages 11 and 14. Thanks for asking Joanne - I love sharing about our mission trip!

My favourite memory is spending long days on the beach at the cabin. Now, we're making memories doing whatever we feel like doing on our summer days!

my favorite summer memory for 2011, it puts a smile on my face already :)
going on a picnic with my kids, then going on a bike ride. My son on his bike with training wheels and my baby girl on her tricycle on a walk path and them having the time of their lives. then after a hard peddle , playing at the water park to cool down and just listening to their laughter. A day I will never forget :)

We went to the Cape on vacation and rented a house with my sister and her family. My niece and nephew are 7 and 4 respectively and my children are 19 and 21 and they brought along their significant others. It was wonderful to see the 4 young adults take their young cousins under their wings and show them how to play croquet, ladder ball, wiffle ball, and collecting rocks and shells at the beach. But my favorite memory is of all of them building sand castles!

I've been enjoying my summer spending time with my mother who is here in the US visiting from France. I don't get much time to be with her because of the distance between us. It's hard not being close to family and as we get older it becomes harder and harder having her so far away. This summer my favorite memory is that she's been enjoying watering my plants and we just realized the other day that she's been watering a couple of my fake plants as well. I laughed so hard when I saw the pots were saturated in water - obviously those very expensive plants I purchased from Crate and Barrel were worth the investment since they looked real enough to water - LOL!!! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway opportunity. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

That file folder die sure is handy! I might have to pick one of those up! My favorite moment was the look on my mom's face as she turned around and realized that my 12-year old stands nearly eye-to-eye with her! (We were in the baggage claim at DFW. We only get out there once a year.)

I moved this summer so most of my summer 2011 summer memories will be of the warm muggy evenings I spent packing. However my move has brought me closer to my family, including my 2 1/2 year old niece and treasure every little moment I get to spend with her!

H. said...

Another recent mover! This is the summer of firsts, including learning how to deal with an actual garden after 20 years in a city condo. Thanks for the chance to win!

Hi Joanne,

It sounds like you've been having a great summer! Enjoy what's left of it...my children are starting back to school this week, if you can imagine.

My favorite 2011 summer memory is...well it's probably a tie between flying my son's kite on the beach in San Diego (made all the more special, because we had tried flying it in the heat of L.A. for over an hour the week before without any luck-lol!) and the fact that despite all the amusement parks, museums, and fun outings, my son & daughter enjoyed spending time with the extended family more than anything this summer (we live 6+ hours away, so they REALLY enjoy just hanging out with their cousins, aunt & uncles, and grandparents)!!! :)

Thank you so much for the fun and generous giveaway! I just recently discovered My Favorite Things, so it would be ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL to win!!!!!!!!!

Crafty hugs,

Jennifer
