I was so excited to ink up the PI: Ice Princess. I paper pieced her dress, and then kicked it up a notch by adding a second layer to her skirt. By adhering the second piece only at the joint between her top and skirt, it leaves the bottom edge free to flounce out for a flirty little skate skirt. I've broken out my Let It Snowflake Die-namics. This is a favorite of mine that I can't recommend enough. If you didn't pick this one up last year, there's no time like the present. I promise it will get a lot of use!
Psst. In case you haven't noticed, I've added supplies with the Inklinkz gadget at the bottom of my post rather than direct linking throughout the posts. I hope this is helpful with a direct link to the products used all at the end of the post....
I of course, had to ink up both of these sweeties. You'll see that I've paper pieced this one too! (Not surprising by now right?) I've added another of my sentiment circle thing-a-ma-jigs. They do make me a happy camper, and I love that I get to add in a bit more patterned paper to my card.
If you're not familiar with Paper Piecing, I've recently done a little YouTube video on the subject with a few quick tips. For this little dress, I paper pieced the dress, then added a second paper pieced bit on top for a red satin trim. I've also used that same red paper to make little red patent leather shoes.
You'll find a full list of participating designers on the MFT Blog today. But before you go, here's a quick peek at all the contents in the kit. These kits have been known to sell out VERY quickly, so if you're interested in buying this one, I'd recommend moving *quickly* to reserve yours! The sentiment set is exclusive, never to be offered again, and if you miss out on the kit, these two PI Cuties and this amazing Die-namics die will not be available again until the beginning of December!
