Winter Cuties VIP

Okay friends, it is time for the November VIP Collection from My Favorite Things.  But are you ready for a fun twist? This month, the VIP Collection consists of two Pure Innocence Images!

I was so excited to ink up the PI: Ice Princess.  I paper pieced her dress, and then kicked it up a notch by adding a second layer to her skirt.  By adhering the second piece only at the joint between her top and skirt, it leaves the bottom edge free to flounce out for a flirty little skate skirt.  I've broken out my Let It Snowflake Die-namics. This is a favorite of mine that I can't recommend enough.  If you didn't pick this one up last year, there's no time like the present. I promise it will get a lot of use!

I of course, had to ink up both of these sweeties. You'll see that I've paper pieced this one too!  (Not surprising by now right?) I've added another of my sentiment circle thing-a-ma-jigs.  They do make me a happy camper, and I love that I get to add in a bit more patterned paper to my card.

If you're not familiar with Paper Piecing, I've recently done a little YouTube video on the subject with a few quick tips. For this little dress, I paper pieced the dress, then added a second paper pieced bit on top for a red satin trim.  I've also used that same red paper to make little red patent leather shoes.
