MFT New Release Begins - With Sea Life!

Welcome to the New Release Countdown for My Favorite Things.  I'm loving the new Sea Life Stamps and Die-namics designed by Lisa Johnson for My Favorite Things.  We're excited to be stamping, and die-cutting away with the new release items for My Favorite Things for May!  The next release will be Tuesday, May 13th at 10pm EST.

Remember to visit the MFT Blog each day for your chance at one of SEVEN $75 gift cards!   You'll also find links to participating designers each day during the New Release Countdown. It's a great chance to see the full stamp and Die-namics graphics as well as the product videos to see the new products in action!

Over April break, my husband and I took the boys to Marco Island to escape from what has probably been the longest, nastiest winter I can recall. We spent our days exploring, collecting shells and soaking in the glorious sun.  Our rented condo was steps from the beach.  While we were there, we saw more sea shells than I've seen in my entire life. Entire beaches full of nothing but shells.  We get *some* shells at our beaches up here in New England, but simply nothing like this…It was a wonderful retreat and I thought I'd take this opportunity to stamp up a note of thanks for the owners.

I've paired in lots of new release preview goodies here - so let's take a peek.  You know that I'm in love with the background stamps and this month MFT is releasing THREE new ones.  Today I'm showing Linen. It's a perfectly subtle texture.  It's great for adding a bit of texture but not stealing your eye too much away from the other details on your card.  It's quiet and lovely.  Today I've stamped it with Kraft Ink to Primitive Cream card stock.

Do you see this fun layering frame?  It's called the Rectangle Frames and this is just so very me. I'm excited to share more of this die a little later in the release - this will make those Cover-Up overlays that I'm always creating SO quick and easy!  In this sample, you see how nicely it layers so nicely with the Postage Stamp STAX.

The sentiment treatment in this set is really spectacular, I love the "outline" style of the lettering. I stamped using Versamark to Steel Grey Card Stock and then embossed with a white embossing powder.

This set would be fabulous for a beach themed scrap page, or maybe even a mini-book.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I'm excited to share more elements from this release with you SOON!  Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for more details.
