Greatest Hits - Jolinne

Getting both boys off to school and prepping class kits for this weekend, it has been a complete whirlwind around here. Its all good, just c-r-a-z-y! So I hope you'll forgive me my very simple layout on today's Greatest Hits post for MFT, but it was nice to just sit and color a while and not worry too much about how all the papers would get laid out.

Today is our monthly Greatest Hits post, when we take a particular line of stamps out to play. This month, its Jolinne. I'll admit sadly that I'd not yet inked this cutie. I love her coy expression with her shoulders shrugged and her eyes closed.

I'll make a little admission here too, sometimes I get nervous coloring Miss Jolinne's hair, there's just so much of it, and I don't want to blend it too much, I wanted it to be all piecy with highights and lowlights. Then I remembered a cool trick from Mel - she used to scratch the surface of her hair with a paper piercer or a needle, and then color over it. Its cool how it takes to the color differently. Have a great day everyone, I forgot that today was a no school day when I did my daycare calendar and I have MORE than a full house today. Wish me luck.....

With Sprinkles on Top.....

Good morning! I've got a little MFT Preview for you featuring the newest stamp in the Jolinne line.

This stamp set, titled "Sprinkles on Top" is just too cute, look at her hiding her sweet face behind that giant cupcake!

By now, you've surely guessed that I'm loving adding details to my projects with Die-namics right?

So, of course, I opted to add the sentiment "HB2U" with the Banner Day Alphabet and coordinating Die-namics die (if you ask me, these are a MUST have combination....)

And in between, you can see that I've done a little peek at the new Flower Trio Die-namic being released this month as well. These are wonderful for a perfectly coordinated little detail on your project.

I'll admit that I don't keep a wide variety of paper flowers hanging about as I never know exactly what color I'd want, but I adore that I can now have custom matched embellishments using any of the MFT Felt colors, coordinating bits of paper, or even MFT's Cork.

I don't think I've mentioned that MFT's Guest Designer Contest has been announced for this month. You'll find all the details on the Splitcoast Member Company Forum for MFT - but don't miss your chance to win the full September release and join us - however the deadline for your submission is TONIGHT at 10pm EST! MFT Previews - Jolinne

Have you been enjoying all the previews from MFT this week. Seriously, isn't this release HUGE? There are more previews today, and again tomorrow too. I know... so much to choose from!

Today is the day that we're sharing new Jolinne images with you, and I'm working with this sweet ballerina and her little bunny friend.

The dress was stamped to patterned paper, and then I painted it with a glaze of Matte Medium and Claudine Helmuth paint. Its impossible to see here but it gives it a really cool texture in real life.

Patterned paper is Jillybean Soup. (Gasp, how have I NOT used this paper before so cute!!)

You Make My Heart Sing - MFT Jolinne Preview

Did you see the sweet new line from MFT that was launched last month? These Jolinne images are just so beautifully illustrated, and I looove to watercolor them.

This sweet little girl has hair that is no lie, to die for. I wish someone could illustrate ME some hair like that. Really.

This darling girl, is hanging out listening to her ipod. I searched through my scrap bins for something, and I settled on a few quiet, muted scraps and see, here is my blues, greens and chocolate that I warned you I'm infatuated with lately.

I love the clean lines here, so I didn't fuss with adding a sentiment, instead, I finished off the inside of the card adding the sentiment to the inside.

MFT's February Shop Hop

I hope you all are having a blast hopping along tonight as the MFT Store opens with the February Release!

If you've just hopped on over from Jody's blog and her (as always) stunning sample you're in the right place... However, if you've just stumbled upon the hop, be sure to start up at Kim's place, so that you don't miss a single detail!

So, all the girls on the design team are sharing one last project tonight.... and I am so in love with this sweet new "Hurry Home" Jolinne. I used my very last piece of watercolor paper and painted in the scene.

I've combined a kraft base with a MFT's Hot Fudge cardstock for my matting. I just love that POP of the contrast between the two. And yes, there I go with the double ribbons again. I can't help myself.

Once again I had totally run myself right out of room, so I added the sentiment to the inside of my card. Which, was totally fine, as my desktop was "scraptastic" and this helped me clean up just a little bit.

Now, take a little breath, and then stop by to visit Amy's blog. (The reason I say take a breath first is because I always GASP when I see her gorgeous work.) I'm sure what she's got cooked up for you tonight, is nothing short of amazing!

MFT Presents -- Copic Refills and Jolinne!

Copic Online Refill Station:

Did you all see this huge news from Kim at MFT! Kim is offering the first Online Refill station for Copic Markers. What an amazing service, you ship in your markers, they are refilled and shipped right back to you! I love it!

I've been *collecting* Copics for the last two years, and as such, I have a few that could use a recharge of ink. Rather than spend $7

per piece for a bottle of new ink, I'll be sending mine to Kim, to be filled back up!

This new service will begin on Wednesday night as part of the February Release, and I hope you'll pop by to see all that's new this month!!!

MFT's Newest Illustrator - MFT Presents Jolinne

Speaking of new... who's ready for some eye candy featuring the new line from MFT! This month, Kim is introducing a new line to the "MFT Presents Collection" titled "Jolinne" and I think these images are simply precious. This month, there are three Jolinne images, and isn't this fairy just so sweeeet? I have another stamped up and ready to share with you, but its for the Shop Hop on Wednesday night at 10pm EST.

I decided to create a tall card for this preview, so that I could add lots of elements to my project. I've mentioned before, but I love anytime that I can add more than one ribbon to a project!

Little miss fairy was colored in with Copic Markers, and then I added glittery wings, and sparkly leggings with my Shimmerz.

I just adore the sweet faces on these Jolinne girls, and with their wide open spaces, they're so fun to color.

I think I gave fair warning the other day that I'm loving this paper, Pink Paislee Cupid Collection. You'll be seeing a lot more of this from me! I added a Marvy punch flower, which has been distress inked, crumpled and then I added a cluster of Glittered Garnishes for the center.

I seriously can't wait to see what the rest of the team has for today, and even better, I can't wait to see what all of YOU will do with these little beauties when you scoff them up, and somehow I just know that you will! MFT Presents Jolinne will be available as part of the February release on Wednesday night beginning at 10pm!
