Should I Sew It?

With the zillions of blogs I've seen with people using actual stitching on their cards, I'm pondering the idea. I saw that I missed out on an amazing sale for the Janome Sew Mini in early August. RATS!

Wondering if any of you bought it, and are you actually using it? How is it to work with? I just LOVE Cambria's work with that thing, it was (and ahem, I mean continues to be!!) stunning!!! Then I saw that Jodi got one too...AND MADE SKIRTS FOR HER DAUGHTERS!!! So stinkin cute!!

So readers, any adivce for this novice? Any hints on where to get the best price? Any rumors on upcoming sales on it. Seems to me whenver I buy something, it goes on sale the next day!

Let me know what you find out Jo, I'm wanting one too - should have bought it when it was on sale . . . didn't! :)

I'm also curious to hear what everyone says - I can't bring myself to use my Singer on my card stock so a machine like this is right up my alley. I just need a little more convincing :)

I've been using mine like crazy and LOVE it. I haven't regretted it for a second. :) Yes, I made skirts for my girls (don't look too closely at them though LOL) and I have been addicted to sewing on my cards. It ROCKS. You need it. :)

I bought my Janome with the August special and I love it. It is easy to use..the only thing is you do have to unplug to thread needle, etc..for safely sakes. It does three different lengths of straight stitches and zig zags, and it has a reverse..you can also move the needle to the left for sewing. It operates with a foot pedal. I just keep it on a table ready to go in my stamp room (spare Bedroom).
Hancock Fabrics has a special for $49.95 ...go here..
http://www.hancockfabrics.com/product/20708.html
Estimated shipping is $8.95.
You may be able to find it cheaper...via Google.
Hope this helps. I really love mine...oh, it does have a one year warranty also.
Hugs, Dee in Oklahoma 8^)

Saurday, September 8: Hancock Fabrics is having a sale on the machine right now. It's $49, instead of $59.

Yep, that August sale was a stunner. Lowest price I've seen but the $49 is the next best. The Mini is perfect for the craft room. A little clunkier sounding than my Pfaff but then it didn't cost $2000 either!! Sews great on cardstock and easy to use. Be sure to look for a free shipping code. They applied it on the Aug. sale but not sure about this one.
