Hand Delivered RAK!

Last week, I attended a little vendor fair at my son's school, and my friend Karen agreed to come for moral and physical support!  When I tell you that we couldn't GIVE things away, really I'm not kidding you.

I cut paper for some make and takes, Karen made a beautiful display out of some random samples I had laying around and nobody was interested - not in the least! I take that back, we met one very sweet woman who really seemed to enjoy her cards, and I'm hoping will join us for my next class!

That sweet woman aside, we had no takers.  In fact, when Karen asked one woman who was watching me make a card if she' d like to make one, her response was "Absolutely NOT!" I nearly peed my pants laughing over that one.

Lucky for me, Karen is such a good sport, not only did she join me for an afternoon of designing and shopping at our LSS the next day, but then she treated me to this beauty in my mailbox the next day!

I literally squealed with delight to find these sweet Elzy's all "Copified" and stitched up with her new Janome!  I tell you, I'm a dangerous friend to have, real life enabling is way more dangerous than web enabling!

Let me say, this card looks good in the picture, but in real life, its a stunner!  There is shimmer and shine all over this baby and all the back ink is embossed.  It's so pretty!  I'm on a mission to make this girl use the giant stash she's got going on.  She puts my "collection" to shame, and that....is not easy.

e-cation

I'm kicking back the next few days and enjoying a few days with my guys! Can't believe how quickly the summer is flying by!  I'm taking a little e-cation from blogging, blurfing and the like!

Be back Monday, relaxed, refreshed and hopefully I don't loose my mojo along the way....

Here are a few fantastic RAK's from friends.......

From Julie Masse - She sent me this super cute Cowgirl Sophia stamp set, and how sweet is this, a stamp that says "A little something!"    Julie is one of my very first blogging
friends, and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet!  In addition to stamping, and being on two design teams, she is also homeschooling her children. I'm in awe of her!!

This next card is from Charmaine. It is as bright and cheerful as her personality!  Due to my CRAZY summer schedule, I missed out on meeting her on her family trip to Massachusetts this summer.  Sniff Sniff. I'm always amazed at how much she can get done with real little ones at home! She has such a fun stammping style, and I love "visiting" Oodabug Alley each day to see what she's up to next!

This next one is
from Carole who just makes me laugh.  She and I got to enjoy a delicious apple martini (or um two??) at CHA a few weeks ago.  That girl, as I've said on several occasions, has just such an eye for color and can pull off even the most difficult of color combinations!  Madly talented and I'm lucky to call her my friend!

My last RAK today is from my (as my husband would say) real life friend Meri!  She's my college pal, bridesmaid and now fellow crafter!  She ran across this fun vintage vespa sticker and created this fun postcard for me.  It was SO thoughtful of her, and its sitting in my kitchen to cheer me each morning when I stumble down each morning groggy from late night stampin!

Girls, I'm so sorry that posting all these cards has been so delayed.....eeeeks. Bad friend.

Have a great few days everyone!

RAK!

I'm so late in posting this note! When we got home from Florida, how excited was I that I got RAK'd (Random Act of Kindness.) How nice to get just happy mail!

The first is from the Blogger RAK Club featuring a stamp set that I want so badly, but I'm trying hard to hold out. Big Blooms. Be sure to check out Care Ins Place . She's running a contest right now to help her come up with a new blog name. Thanks for your super cute card Karen! I love it.

My next RAK was a welcome to the RAK club card from Vivian. SCS VivLyn. I love all the details on this card, the ribbon, the scalloped accents, the word window used with the brad, so cute. This was a set that I wanted to get in my starter kit, but I went with the Its your Birthday Set. Well, guess what I'm ordering with my first Demo Order. Simply Said! Thanks for pushing me over the edge Vivian!

Then, the next RAK was a whole goodie assortment! A tag reading "Thoughts of U" and a giant sunflower paperclip to match! How cute is that? And, to boot, a white piece of cuttlebug swirled paper. Thanks so much Phyllis!

Thank you so much ladies for sharing! Once I get caught up on these client cards, I'm going to "pay it forward!"
